Winter Deliveries

Lumi's home-town is in an extremely remote part of the arctic circle,  and before she came along, folks were forced to retreat to the south  every year.  Lumi helps protect the town in a number of ways, whether  it's against heavy snowstorms, avalanches, polar bears, helping people  lost in the snow, or even just this here, wading through the icy  Northern Norwegian seas, to get supplies from the main land when it's  too dangerous to send ships.

Expressions - March 2018

Almost on time! I'm counting that as a win.  The theme this month seemed to be "Characters I've never drawn before", with four or five brand new characters.  Then we have a couple of double slots for March growth, seeing as it's his month.

All in all, lots of fun characters, of very big sizes!

Transcendental Trouble

Explosive bursts of growth in and around Pantheons seem to run in the Æsir family.  Here we have Fenris, Father of Okamitsune, Husband to Inari accidentally outgrowing a Pantheon.  It's the trouble with being as powerful as he is. Even the smallest compliment can cause a "small" avatar to completely outgrow an entire Pantheon of Gods if he's caught off guard.

Fenris belongs to VDO. And it's rather lovely to finally draw a full picture of him after all these years.

Nubium & Tethys

Boarding With Friends

How does Niamh like to spend her down time?  With her friends of course. Especially if it's hurtling down the side of a mountain with a piece of wood strapped to her paws, with her friends.

Breaking Dawn

Sometimes I get an idea which just fits a character wonderfully. This was one such picture, which Eclipsis kindly let me borrow his Aerisis for.  I was planning on just sketching it, but it's also the type of picture which doesn't really work that well as a sketch, so the only option was to go the full way with it.

Quick Sketches - January 2018

In the name of experimentation I decided to do pics in the style of what I tend to call "Random Junk". They ended up slightly more refined than most, but it was a good experiment nonetheless!

A Light Lunch

If Elizabeth is planning on a large dinner later in the day, sometimes she'll decide to get a lighter lunch than normal as not to spoil her appetite for later.  Here's one of her lighter lunches.

It's still the 15th somewhere right? Right? No? Darn it! Ah well. 

Apologies these are a little late, it's been a busy month. That said, I didn't want to rush any of these, and these were a lot of fun to draw. Lots of big characters and fun ideas: Gift exchanging, Snow, Winter Chills, Warm Coats, Christmas hats, Noodles eating everyone, everything you'd associate with the festive period!

Vapocalypse (By AlefGP)

Reality Repairs

To say that the poll which this won was a fierce competition would be the understatement of the year. It was a three horse race, with the picture in the lead changing with every single vote.  However, in the end Riza came up on top with 19 votes, and 108 points, tied on votes and with the same number of points as it's nearest competitor in the polls.  

As such, I've decided to colour both, and will be getting the other picture up shortly too.

I decided to do things a little differently this month for the expressions, and decided to practice traditional art! A lot of the suggestions worked better in non-square formats, so some were more small full pictures than they were expressions, so be sure to check them out as i cropped them for the preview up there!

Amongst the Clouds

I had a little bit of time so I figured I'd experiment a little. At 7:30 hours, this is a relatively quick picture for me, aided by it's simplicity. It was actually an expression picture, which I felt had enough in it to make a nice full picture.

It must be quite an experience for Onyx there, being macro enough to be noticed by a cloud height fang, then plucked up from the grounds, and up and above the cloud level. Although the next part is always the scary part for her.

Picture #27 Poll Results

You guys are crazy!  This was a really exciting poll to watch the results come in for.  There were three leading the pack the entire way, and every vote would change which of the three results were in the lead time and time again.  As such, I'm tempted to colour the top two, as it was just such a tight result, and two of the top three are both March's Riza.

A Mountain of Snacks

It's not easy to find a good seat when you're the size of Fang. Fortunately mountains do occasionally come in sizes big enough to work as a dining room chair.
