Some really rough sketches while mulling around the Lightfoot family.
I didn't actually need to change Johnny's design very much, since, well, he's already wearing a leather jacket. I could have nicked up his ears a bit, but I feel like I overdo that motif so I try to avoid it lately.

The posters came in and are looking fantastic. Having seen them, my family was making comments that my tier prices are too low for the rewards I offer and their quality. The thing is, I don't want to raise my reward tiers too high, particularly because this is a subscription and a reoccurring cost.
I think my compromise is going to be that rewards are only eligible after supporting for two months. This is for two reasons- the cost of rewards evens out at this time, and secondarily, ...

Now that I'm done with the poster, I can return to working on the pre-planning stuff for the comic, including designs for characters that will be featured fairly early on.
Roxy I've drawn before in F:NM, so her design is not altered much. I made a resolve that when she showed up again that I would give her a longer neck, because I believe that's a feature needed to make 'her' more 'her'. Her role is still fairly similar to her role in canon- she is a waitress.

I made a small post about this on tumblr, then decided to doodle it as proof of concept.

I'm liking the way the wash brushes are playing in this. Not nearly done shading, as I need to push contrasts in places and need to put highlights, but the first pass of shadows is looking nice and I like how I can get the colours to interact.

F:NM- the webcomic
I mentioned this briefly on my F:NM blog (and will probably make another post explaining things more in depth), but I intend to convert F:NM from an ask blog to an actual webcomic so I can actually get into the narrative tale I've built in my mind for F:NM.

I've updated the reward tiers with information on the bottlecaps. I haven't gotten the newest print batch yet, but I'll let you guys know when I do since I'll need your addresses to mail your caps out to :) A poster will be upcoming as a reward as well (most likely to 10 and up tiers), but I'm still trying to figure out my composition for that.
