There actually was meant to be one more drawing to go along with it, my somewhat expected feet pic of this lovely character, but I suppose that's for another time, as during the process, I wasn't really feeling that kind of mood.
In any case, I am glad you liked the mini-project that I finally managed to get together - this design went through 5 or 7 complete do-overs, and it was actually, most importantly to do with the shape of the character. Even the name had to go through iteratio...

Project Leviathan was shut down for one key reason, and it relates to why the specialised drug-like ink was created as well as the computing systems to command them - their behaviour outside of battle.
All things said, Kraken Octolings were just too friendly. Too 'alive'.
As noted before, Kraken Octolings are designed to handle large weapons - by temporarily implanting them into their limbs. Through the special ink, one can partially liquefy their arms (and legs) in a process akin to the Zipcaster Special skill in Turf War sports.

The Kraken Octoling was a result of a secret weapons program (known as Project Leviathan) developed by a now defunct corporation. They are powered by a chemically-created ink that gives them enhanced strength to handle various weapons. True, it's only one thing for June this year, but it was fairly substantial enough to warrant one, I would say. For my drawn animation piece, I wanted to provide two things; one, a full-sized GIF looping animation for your perusal/pleasure. (I drew it in a 1920 x 1080 resolution.
