Continuing Women's Work Part 2!

I already had a bit of page 2 complete so this page will come about pretty fast but I just have to say it is really fun drawing Little Lorna again (and writing her crazy adventures).

Its fun drawing all of her wild expressions and body language!  I did something a little different with her hairstyle and outfit which is also making this comic a little more artistically fun to draw.  Lets hope I don't ruin this story and write myself into a corner like I usually do!

Hey everyone!  April is going to be another nightmare for me scheduling wise.  As I mentioned a few months ago, we put the house on the market and it got sold but now I have the tough decision as to finding a place.  Its EXTREMELY tough out there as everyone is looking for more space and although I am downsizing, it is really downsizing to a space that many people would be upsizing to (around 1500-2000sf).  I need tons of space to run my business so its making it tough as ...

Alright... that took a little while to do.  Its always tough to draw multiple characters that are in contact with each other.  Probably something I have to learn to get faster at considering the kind of comics I draw!  Lol.

I'll have the flip comic made up.  Just working through the dialogue and any minor variations that may be needed.  This one should be fun!

Hi everyone!  We're going through FanWeek during March 28-April 3rd but after that will be 4 more weeks of drawing in April until Fan week begin again on May 2nd.

Part two of Lockdown cartoon!

This was a long time to wait for the end of this joke!  This illustration may be a little too much for posting here so it is on my Discord.

So apparently I can still draw alright but it is just slow moving.  I really don't think it should have taken me this long but while usually I can pencil, ink, color and shade like riding a bike, it takes quite a bit of concentration and effort at this point... but it is getting faster!

That isn't a caption for this drawing so far BUT it is ME expressing my frustration.  :(

I can usually just draw the roughs (the two on the left) and it is generally enough information for me to start inking right away but it seems like being so long without drawing, I have to do the arduous process of drawing clean pencils and then inking.  Clean pencils/Ink is a pain as I have to draw it accurately twice.

It looks like the house sold for pretty fast which I think everyone is experiencing in this crazy real estate environment.

I have not drawn in what feels like ages so its a little difficult to get back into the 6am swing of things but it won't be long now.  I have a real craving to draw and its just the "lazy dragon" I am fighting right now.

I appreciate you all being so patient with me.  I really posted NOTHING during these weeks of working 12-16hr ...

Two more days...

Two more days of showings and then we take offers on the place. This is so exhausting mentally. I can’t wait to hook my Mac back up and do some drawing again. The market is pretty heated right now so it should be a quick sale but since I’m not the one making the decision, it may be a bit stressful which offer to take.

Hi everyone!  First off, I have to apologize for having to cancel FanWeek this week.  The house is going on the market on Tuesday and there is SOOOO much work still to do moving furniture, packing boxes, getting rid of hiding all of the dirty drawing and comics out of my house.  Lol.  I am literally waking up at 5am ad working straight until 5pm every day for the past three weeks.  I am so close to the finish line, I must make sure everything is done by the time it is...

February is going to be a little thin.

Hi everyone!

So I knew coming into February that this month was going to be a little thin because I've lost a week of drawing due to the shortened month however I'm getting hit with a double whammy.

As I mentioned before, we are selling the house and I am moving into a smaller place.  I am currently waking up at 5am, getting about 30 minutes for coffee and working until 9pm getting the house cleaned up, painted and organized so we can put it on the market in about 3 weeks tim...

Life is really getting in the way...

Page 16 is finished.  Wow... this took a lot longer then I expected but looking at other comic artists, 2 pages a month should be par for the course... but I will continue to try and make 3-5 pages a month... its just a lot of work and every slight hiccup in the month seems to hold things back quite a bit.

Soooo... to add to the stress, the house that I live in is being sold and I have TONS of work to do to prepare to put it on the market.  Its not quite as bad as it sounds as...

Feb 16th

Oh damn!  I should have made a Valentines post yesterday!  This lockdown has really made time and dates seem irrelevant.

I'm working away on page #16 but I'm only two panels in.  They seem to be moving a little quicker now but I seem to be in a time crunch with other things in my life and am trying to split the time as best as I can.

Its always fun to draw some SFW drawings as well!  Thanks for the commission.  It was so much fun to draw.  What is particularly enjoyable about these types of drawings is that it is SO specific (a Renaissance Faire Little Lorna holding a toy Marvin from the "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" move) and as deep as the internet it, a commission is the only way to get art of this kind.

This wasn't a commission  but I'm sure someone wants me to draw Little Lorna but just didn't think to commission it.  Actually, it was RedHound that suggested that I do some pandemic/lockdown/disaster cartoons as a sort of therapy.  I guess I'm going to have to get RedHound to be cast as the School Counsellor!  ;)

So, going by the vote as well as the comments I'm leaning towards a "Red Sonja" style character.  Actually, it was the original concept for the story but seeing how it is Black History Month in February, I wanted to sneak in Gamba.  I don't want to give up on him so I will most likely be working him into the story.

I need a new character for Sarai's part of the story.  She meets up with a warrior who is going to help her with her side of the "side quest".  It doesn't change the general plot but I was wondering who you are more interested in seeing.  I will not only be going with the poll but by any comments to state your case who would best "help" Sarai reunite with Farryn and Kashia.<...

Page #14 is finished!  I guess its a bit of a spoiler that Farryn doesn't escape but then again... I think we'd be disappointed if she did!

I just realized that it was this time last year that I broke my hand and was still over a month away from recovery.  Remembering that, I definitely feel blessed this year (in spite of everything) that I can draw for all of you and I shouldn't take it for granted.

I was so busy yesterday, I forgot to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you all stayed safe and found some way to celebrate the day with family, friends or by yourself enjoying the peace and quiet (for once) with a nice glass of eggnog and popcorn.

I had zoom calls, fly by visits and the Secret Santa contest to maintain but apart from that, it was actually NICE to not have any family responsibilities that day and just be at peace.

Sneak Peek...

The story is split into three right now just like any good adventure story should.  The second story should be full of tragedy and things should get worse and worse for the heroes and just when  it can't get any worse, it DOES!

I'm really looking forward to 2021(duh!) ...but ALSO because there so much story to tell right now and my mind is spinning trying to organize it.  As wacky as fantasy stories can get sometime, I have to make sure it keeps moving along the over arch...

Page #10 is in the can to put me back on schedule for 4 pages this month.  I have to remember to do these requiem pages once in a while.  I'm usually pushing the story so hard that I forget to dwell on some scenes and spend more then just a page on them.

We don't have extended fight scenes so I think we should have some extended sex scenes!

Sneak Peaks!

A couple of progress drawings for the next two pages.  I'm not 100% definite what is happening next (although there IS a determined plot) so I'm going to stall by extending Shek's "love" scene for another page.  Lol.

I'm sure you'll all love to see a lot more rag dolling, size differences and power thrusts.
