Basically done with the "Planning" stage. Moving on to actual production. Turning placeholders into... Permanentholders? Making some entirely new assets and whatnot.
I got a pretty clear vision of what the final version should look like, it's going to be a while though. The planned content is going to roughly double the game in size. Should be a good time.

Just a quick check in before the final push!
I've made a good amount of progress this past month-ish and it's extremely close to being finished. But there's still a few things that need doing.
Right now I'm finishing up the scenes, sfx, polishing the animations, etc. That should be done in a few days. After that comes the packaging and reducing the package size to 2GB (because that's the maximum file size Itchio allows).

Woooooooooo still alive!
Survived 2 different plagues. Bronchitis and some mysterious debilitating full body pain that came and went in a day. Still don't know what that was. Very cool. Might be dying. Oh well.

I've been getting a little too lax with my ¨weekly posts¨. I'll try to be a bit more consistent moving forward, at the very least biweekly. Honestly making posts and social media in general doesn't interest me very much.

I more or less remade the main character. Reworked his walk animations, changed the way the lighter animation works, added the flashlight, added the long awaited sprint function. Plus a few other things.

Aaaaaaaaaaaalright, I know I went radio silent for a while there but it's been a crazy month.

PPTT's demo should be done towards the end of the month. Probably. Most likely. Fingers crossed.

The furnishing and texturing is about 80% done.
Next few weeks I'm going to focus on putting everything together. Actually finishing things that I've been leaving almost finished.

A couple of shots with the models in there.
Most likely not the final versions but getting closer. I'm still figuring out baking textures, rigging and topology. All complex topics but I'm getting better at it. Also their overall design. I might've made MC a bit too short. Around 5' or 150 cms. A couple more inches might be better. And I want to give the ghost a few more accessories.

I was really hoping to make a fun happy post. But it is what it is.
Uploading the game to steam has been rather challenging.
Every time I submit the store page it takes 3-4 days to get a response. So far I've gotten two negative responses. (Just to be safe I won't share screenshots because it's behind an NDA I agreed to)

Good news: I'm officially a steam partner.
Bad news: I've been bombarded with work these past few weeks.
Good news: The steam release should happen this month.
So yeah to keep it short, I've been focusing solely on Statues. Next week I'll be working on setting up the store page, trailer, etc.
This update will be mostly the same. A couple changes here and there and new SFX for the scenes.

Yep.
With this somewhat functional model finished I'm going to start working with Unreal. Finally.
This isn't the final model for PPTT it was mostly to learn topology, animation, blender, etc. I'll eventually make the actual ghost model but should be quicker and better.
Statues steam release should be around late July or so. After that I'll split my time between finishing statues and making an early demo of PPTT.

Faces are hard.
If one little thing is wrong the whole thing falls apart.
I don't think anyone will be surprised when I say I've been avoiding faces since I started drawing.

Is a pain in the ass.
The images show the difference between clean topology deformation and dirty topology deformation. More noticeable around the joints.
Clean topo is mandatory for animation.
It's one of those things that the more you do it the better you get at it. I doubt this'll be the final model but it's good enough for now.
Next up is the face, feet and hands. Those 3 body parts are more complicated and time consuming than the entire body.
