WT 1.6f release (Android too)

Good day, everyone! Time for a surprise middle-of-the-week news update!


We finished working on the 1.6!


And so...


Witch Trainer Russian Edition 1.6F.


*Complete and thorough bug fix, that went through multiple waves of rigorous testing.


*Removed logical loopholes.


*Finished and edited English translation.


*Removed all the unnecessary code (that wasn't used in the game).

Today's update is a bit of a throwback, meaning that it is time for another news batch from Tobi.


Our binary warrior works on the Ren'py visualisation system, so that after our move to the Full HD and multi-layer system, our game didn't need REAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, that would result in constant lags and crashes on weaker machines. And he already has some success: got rid off the lags in between the dialogues and day and night cycle.

For the whole week Tobi was creating and reworking the TA for everyone.

1. Optimising the art for the headmaster's office, also finished 3 miniatures for it.

2. Finished sketching and started colouring the Hogwarts entrance.

Last week:

We focused on polishing the third act, mostly editing the text side of the game. But, another problem became obvious, any change to string on the Russian side of the game, breaks the translation for the English side. That is one of the infamous challenges of this game engine, but we are close to conquering it.

The spring is finally upon us, so congratulations to everyone who made it through winter! And as earth comes back to life, we continue our efforts, and now for your weekly news.


Third act is finished. We are getting in some final touches for the translation and some time soon it will be available in the closed section of the forum. We also have started on the global re-optimisation of the game, mostly removing all the remnants of the old game code.
