I made a silly monster in the sketch stage as a placeholder because I couldn't remember what the guardian of the golden fleece looked like and by the time I had to clean up the sketches I had just fallen in love with my goofy little guy and didn't want to change it.

This was actually one of the first pieces I tried out the shiny updated colors on when I was editing the book! I've been sitting on it for a while.
January 22 is the start of Year of the Rabbit! I dropped the ball for Year of the Tiger, I was just way too busy to make anything for it. But this year I am prepared!
My spouse's birthday is January 1st, so I like getting a different day to celebrate New Years. The lunar calendar is perfect.

I needed a break from thumbnails so I decided to start figuring out colors for TQ's new chapter. There's new characters, new outfits, and new settings so it'll take a minute to get situated.
I feel like I haven't gotten anything done this month because I have nothing to post but then I remember I already released the last chapter of Eros & Psyche and since then I've finished rough thumbnails for the upcoming 22-page chapter and I've cleaned up about 10 of them to prepare for line ...
A relatively quick chapter that's mostly double page spreads but I think it works better this way.
Good news! I'm done scripting the rest of the book! There will be 3 more chapters + an epilogue. Once I'm done with thumbnails I'm going to set a release date for Tigress Queen's new chapter but I will likely already have a few pages here on patreon before I have that date settled.
Chapter 8 is going to be on the longer side (and so so ANGSTY) so I'll go back to uploading pages in...
I finished my rewards for the crowdfunder in January! I've never designed stickers before so this was a new exercise. Victorious Viper is here by popular demand XD

Sorry for the lack of thumbnails, guys. I've been itching something fierce to work on TQ pages again and I'd really really really like to start with regular updates by the time the crowdfund launches. I've started on line art/ color coordination already.

Ok, last month I didn't have much time to work on TQ thumbnails so I tried to make a whole bunch this month! Please forgive me if the faces look a little off, I was kinda rushing. Also Jintu's hair style isn't set in stone for this scene yet so just bear with me.
We're meeting more new characters! Including Uzha!!! She and Yrin are besties but she's not part of his nonsense with Miidro.
Yes the first couple of pages are from the last batch, because the first image is what shows up in people's emails and not everyone wants to open up to page full of puss without warning lol

I'm sorry guys, I tried to get more TQ thumbnails done before the end of the month, but what with the hurricane and all we were a little busy. Irma knocked our power out when it was on the opposite side of the state and it stayed out for days so we were preparing for a similar experience.
I'm fine! Our power barely even went out where I live. We've even got unseasonably nice cool weather right now. But places like Fort Myers Beach and St Augustine got it really rough and it's sounding ...
Kizarasunga has trouble falling asleep but makes up for it by being able to fall asleep in any position.
The next chapter of Eros & Psyche is a bit tricky so it's taking me a while to finish thumbnailing it but I should have a decent batch of pages for the $10 peeps this month regardless.
Razendi is that rich friend who commissions people to draw your weird fanfic because she loves you. She is also responsible for the special silk Jintu's sash is made from, so the bloodstain is her business.
Kiri has weak lungs and Razendi is very popular with the guest house staff.

And chapter 5 is complete! I'm going to be thumbnailing chapter 6 immediately and will continue posting a few pages at a time so you all shouldn't have to wait too long to see what happens next :D

I forgot to throw the little character illustration up for page 180 earlier, it's going to be Hakara. This concludes the short little opening scene for volume 2 and next is a two-page spread for chapter 5!

Since this is the main thing I'm going to be focused on until its completion I'm just going to upload pages in batches as I finish them, then make separate posts for the full chapters.
Oh no my palette page for Psyche is poorly organized and now I need to figure out what colors are for what again.
According to my ipad I thumbnailed this on December 5, 2020 and it's just been politely waiting for me to get through TQ ever since.
