October 8, 2022 - Update

Hi!

This week I found myself thinking a lot about the past. Specifically, the launch of Shade’s First Rule. Unfortunately, this wasn’t for a good reason.

When I published Shade’s First Rule, I received many negative reviews immediately. This almost sank the book, and the entire series nearly didn’t happen. Thankfully, enough people who enjoyed the book submitted enough reviews that the book survived.

The exact same thing happened with The Grey Warden this week.

September 24, 2022 - Update

I have a February slot with Travis for audio that I will not miss, which means I need to pick up my pace a little to finish this book in time. Ruwen moved slowly through the canyon as he scanned each side. The path remained mostly clear of obstructions, but occasional head-sized rocks appeared. The perfectly round stones probably meant water flowed through this canyon at some point, tumbling and smoothing the rocks. September 17, 2022 - Update

Hello!

I don’t have much to say this week. I spoke with the narrator for The Grey Warden and that will start next week. I’m on track for a mid-October release.
