I realize it's been a little while since there's been any actually TF content, and Julie's got a way to go yet, so I thought, in light of the most recent page of Julie Takes Wing, I'd tackle the more famous she-bat.  I've never really taken on Mrs.--actually Dr.--Langstrom before, surprisingly.  When there's more time I might clean this up and give it a proper color treatment.

If this comic was truly going to chronicle Julie's entire first night as WereWing, with the transformation just being one (albiet significant) event, it might have been fun to let the TV play and have her and Francine change simultaneously.  But Julie's change is going to take a lot longer than the one in BTAS.

JTW Color Experiment

Tried adding inks and some simple color to a panel of the current comics.  What do you think?  Would you rather see this in color or in sketched grayscale?

I should point out a couple of things about this first part of the sequence:

This is the first project where I've had the Lunateers interacting with each other.  Up until now it's just been a bunch of random transformation sequences that I retroactively made into individual characters  that eventually became a group.  Here we have Sandy Starling and Julie Kim conversing, and Leah Augetter is referred to as well.  Obviously at this point Sandy is the only one with pow...

Savage Girl-- Ericka Falls

Here's the last of the Savage Girl commissions to date--a fun one to do as it was a slightly different scenario--really felt like I was doing some storytelling and not just cranking out a transformation.  Also fun to draw Ericka in some civvies as well.

Comic Updates Delayed

So I’m away at my parents for a week and had brought my computer along to work on the comic—I do all the art on the iPad but the lettering gets done on the laptop. However, it looks like my mouse did not make it into my bag like I had thought, and I use the click and drag to draw the speech balloons.
