Wardrobe options for boudoir

I can't express how many times I've chatted with someone and their assumption of boudoir is that nudity or very revealing lingerie is a requirement. That couldn't be further from the truth. Satin/silk slips are also options that can also be very sexy! Remember it's all about how you rock it! I've had clients wear a bra and pants and still exude ultra sexy and feminine energy.

Dreamy Bridal Session

When my client showed me this set from Urban Outfitters that she brought to the studio, I was IN LOVEEEE! I love super feminine, delicate lingerie. It even has a slight vintage look which made me swoon even more. Immediately when I saw it, I knew we had to do a dreamy look. Simple but dreamyyyy AF.

Watermelon Sugaaa

The last time I posted an image of a naked woman with fruit, my instagram was deleted (thankfully only temporarily). 

Ash wanted to do a fun, quick shoot with watermelon. which is funny because she hates watermelon and didn’t enjoy eating it for this shoot.

while these shoots are fun, they are soooo messy and not something I enjoy cleaning up Haha.

When many people hear boudoir they immediately think of intense sexualized imagery. I love going against that and creating boudoir work that feels more aligned with divine femininity. As many say - boudoir for the female gaze.

This client came in before her wedding. She wanted to celebrate her body, as it is now, before marriage and children. I fucking loveeee that! Taking a moment to honor yourself before major changes in life.

Mari and I had no plan when shooting this set. Using flash wasn't even something we expected to play with that day. What I love about working with Mari is that she is always down and excited to try anything. The creative chemistry we have together shows in everything we create together.

Dreamy 90's inspired Bridal Boudoir Session

A friend Dana, who I loveee working with, came for a visit and stopped by my studio with a visionboard filled with 90's lingerie catalog styled images. Immediately it was a fuck yeah from me. 

I used a constant light with a sheet of yellow cellophane over it to get the lighting just how I wanted it. I felt the vibe called for something different and it is always nice to break away from my typical way of working.
