Pretty sure the combination of Candice, Infini-chan, and Tama means this was the month of "this isn't even my true size" nonsense.

March is a Month

Considering I did better last month than I have in a while; I am hoping I can continue the trend upwards to get back to my normal level of workflow. A few considerations for mental health and putting some things in the rear view mirror, etc. I'm going to continue being kind of vague with my update again though so I don't get too in my own head about following through on promises I can't keep.

February Sketch Dump

EDIT: Forgot and illustration when I uploaded last night. Fixed the zip folder so it's included now.

There is some shadowlark in there! Well one redesign specifically but its something. I'm slowly getting through my burnout - three illustrations is not everything I wanted to have done but it's a start and a short month. March will be better.

I'm still struggling to find methods I like for cobbling together backgrounds from stock, and I don't know how much time I am actually saving over just painting them from scratch:

but they do look a little nicer as I learn.

Valentine's Birthday Pizza For Two

It's double acceptable because it's both valentines and her birthday: really she is doing you a favor by letting you share it with her.

I came up with this idea for Meushi's birthday this year and then saw like three other artists do a better version of it this year and that was not great for my self esteem.

February is a Month

Well. Let me keep this short.

My to-do list is fairly bloated at this time (heh) and we are adding last month's poll winner of Lillith and her Smart Bra shenanigans to the pile. Combined with me really needing to get back to that waiting list for commissions (sorry about that). I'm not going to get into what was going on last year or January. It was bad. I'm trying to turn it around. Everything will be ok, and if not I will ask for help. Pinky swear.

Janurary Art Dump

I swear I had more sketches but I can't find them anywhere. Anyways. Not a very impressive haul this month, mostly just finishing the things started last month.

County Fair Goo Berries

Continuation of coms I did for Trydianth ages ago. I got increasingly frustrated trying to get the backgrounds and colors working on these and probably will continue to dislike how they came out - I generally don't do a lot with Berries or fluids because I just don't think I am very good at them (also not really my wheelhouse), but Trydianth is a pal.

Knight of Ophean

Judy Wall, fantasy incarnation, has happened upon Gillean Ophean in a compromised position just in time to protect her from agents of the Ophean family out to recover their wayward daughter.

What started as a rare change to capture the princess while her friends were away has become a chance for Judy to be a dashing hero for a voluminous stranger.

Corset Busting

First in this month's "Images I was really struggling with backgrounds for" is Jason and Vanessa from Ryver8's "Marshmallow Hell" series (which you should really read, it's fantastic).

January is a Month (Happy New Year. For Real This Time).

Starting a new year with a pretty extensive list of things that were left incomplete is not the most fantastic way to hit the ground running: but the last quarter of 2022 was kind of a trial for me personally.

I normally would have planned to do a longer and more detailed update for the start of the new year, as well as put it up on the first, but I really needed to just take a minute to breathe so I'm starting a little late this January.

Backgrounds are Still Baking

I'm not sure why but I am having the worst time getting backgrounds to look even reasonable this month. So Most of my work is kind of white void in this month until I  finish the backgrounds (presumably next week after whatever is wrong with me clears).

But I didn't want to leave you hanging this month. Art dump is also going to include a couple more backgroundless illustrations I just need to finish some colors on.

Let's try and finish this year out with a strong December just to turn things around.

A lot of commissions are in partial WIP stages while I dealt with the power outtages and resulting nervous breakdown of not getting enough work done. It's a vicious cycle.
