SPOILED 2 - part four: Bonus Sketches

So, as you can see, I spent entirely too long drawing the resort and its surround area lol. I just got a bit carried away in sketching it and then sunk cost fallacy told me it would be a great idea to keep all that detail! I enjoyed getting lost in the process, though. And of course having Manni feed Arthur was always going to be a fun scene to draw.

Lucas did as Dr Nightingale so softly instructed. He might not have been acclimatising to these regular clinical inspections particularly well but at least the doc was a hell of a lot kinder to him than the dormitory guards, and that took much of the trepidation out of Lab visits.

Sneak Peek: Welcome to the Factory

A while ago I made a sequence called Project Bulk (brought to life with animation by the talented @ls6y06cl6a0n), and ever since then I've been wanting to make more growth sequences along those lines. Well, me being me, I had to be extra about it, and the next "Project" ballooned (heh) in scope. I also had fun giving Manni and Arthur kind of heroic / intrepid poses here, since they are on an adventure of mystery and intrigue, after all!

A serving of lasagne roughly the size of a builder’s toolbox was plonked down in front of Lucas without ceremony. He looked up at the wide guard who’d brought it.

‘Eat,’ the man repeated.

Then the same was placed before Reece.

His taxing task over, the guard left the two growing lads to begin attacking their insurmountable pasta mountains. The pair were seated at a cramped little circular dining table in the mess hall.

This guy here is The Model, and I tried to approach this image as though it were an ad campaign of some kind, perhaps for underwear or jewellery, something that really shows off his rounded physique nicely.

Again, positioning the two of them to best show off their physiques took some figuring out. As did the Reece and Lucas scene. It can be challenging, illustrating a simple conversation between two characters because it can easily devolve into something boring-looking.
