At the time of finishing this page, the episode "Ghostfuckers" just came out. In that episode, there was some (not a lot, but some) build-up between the relationship of Millie and Loona (and we got to see Loona being kind to Moxxie as well).
But there was also an interesting bit where Millie kind of looks down on herself for being an imp, saying things like "people like us don't deserve this." I'm kind of thinking of tweaking some future dialogue to incorporate that.

Catching up!
Of course, Moxxie has the lowest STR and CON stats, so he's the only one to get snuck up on and knocked out.
I had to figure out this middle-ground of showing Millie's rage at seeing her husband hurt, but also not be as intense as her rage from Harvest Moon Festival when she was betrayed by Striker and was seeing her husband being attacked in her own home. I needed to be sure to "leave room" to make Millie's face more intense.

A bit of a detour from the whole point of this comic, but we so rarely get to see the IMPs go out on actual missions anymore, I thought it'd be a fun challenge to include one, and kind of show how last night might have changed things.
...also, I had to make the convention as generic as possible because I didn't want to seem like I was implying actual violence to a real location with real people. Originally, all the people killed were generic furries, but a bunch of artists really...

Yeah, this was a pain in the ass.
The script originally called for some sort of extremist group, but it didn't seem particularly interesting to draw. I then had the idea of Blitzo conflating the term with cosplay, and was sent to go crazy at an anime convention.
So I asked a bunch of different artists if they'd be okay with having their OCs killed.

Loona's suddenly lost all enthusiasm that she had just a moment ago.
I really struggled with that first panel. I was trying to make Loona appear close to the camera, as though huddled up in a corner, but with the perspective behind her, it kept making her look like a giant instead. I probably should've taken a photo for reference.
