Another slightly stuttering week.

On the positive side I was able to get the first Harlot spotlight out for $5+ subscribers.  That was the artwork for Bebi Ansikt-Sitta as well as some behind-scenes-commentary on her lore and game mechanics.

Artwork permitting, I'm hoping to put a new one out every couple of weeks.

On the artwork front, that's progressing fairly nicely.  I've seen all the preliminary sketches for the next batch and they look lovely.  Once done...

More Delays to HoHH v0.051 (Sister Squeeze)

This one has gone from what should have been a straightforward rewrite to being a complete ass to get done.  I think it might be a case of the more I try to push it, the more my body stubbornly resists and runs off to do something else.

Update 5th Nov '23

Not the start to the new multi-tier era I'd have liked.  A bunch of IRL stuff has kept me a little more occupied at the start of the month than I'd like, so I only had a couple of days free this week.

I didn't manage to get Sister Squeeze out at the end of the month.  Hoping to rectify that midweek.

New Tiers Are Up!

The timing is a little unfortunate as October was the one month where I whiffed on the deadline (don't worry, you'll have Sister Squeeze to play with in a few days!).

Anyway, I've added $5 and $10 Tiers with benefits similar to what has been proposed in previous posts.

$1 is mostly unchanged.  You'll still get the regular weekly progress updates, side brainstorming projects like the current #SexDungeon23, and the regular (usually!) end-of-month release.

HoHH v0.051 Release Delayed a Few Days

A ton of other stuff kept me from working on finishing up Sister Squeeze until right at the end of the  month.  Usually last-minute deadline pressure goes one of two ways.  I hit high gear and blast the thing out.  Or I panic and lock up.  Sadly, on this occasion it was the latter.

The highest point of the tower is the private quarters of the TITTY ARCHWITCH.  These will seem suspiciously empty.

At this point the illusory guide that's been following the player throughout the tower will decloak to reveal it was the TITTY ARCHMAGE all along.  She's been following the player throughout the tower to gauge their strengths and weaknesses.  Now it's time to fight(fuck).

Prospective new backer tiers

Here's some more teaser art for House of Hellish Harlots.  Teaser for reasons I'll go into.

I'm thinking of adding higher backer tiers.

When I started, I was thinking purely from the perspective of the backer/subscriber.  i.e. 'What would I be happy paying if I was on the subscriber end of things.'  If I'm a writer and a full novel is $6-15, then $1 for a short story/chapter per month sounds about right.

Most of the doors on the spiral staircase are closed and the player will hear sex moans on the other side.

One of the doors is open and has a white-bearded wizard-type getting drained by two ELITE TITTY WITCHES. Another heavy admin week where I was wearing the 'project manager' hat for most of it.

The good news is that I've made a lot of positive steps on the art front.  The next batch of harlots has been sent off for commission with half payment up front.

I've also found someone to hopefully do the UI elements.  They've done a fair bit of work on other adult games, so I'm hoping we'll get something nice.

Fighting off another cold/flu/something bug this week.  Just a minor irritation, thankfully.

I also managed to focus down more on HoHH.  When in doubt, transfer a new harlot over to HoHH1.5.  I'm currently on the Tier 1 (round 1-4) harlots of the 4th faction, so making good progress there.

I'm thinking I'll keep them back (temporarily) as potential higher tier rewards or even for 'adoption', as soon as I can work out what that means in terms of benefits and how to arrange payment that won't get me kicked off here or can handle two people trying to adopt the same harlot simultaneously.

Ever since falling behind on this, I've noticed that panic and trying to catch back up have been eating into the time and mental energy I should be spending on the 'proper' projects.  It was only meant to be a fun additional project that could potentially give me a starting platform for a future H-RPG project.  Now I'm behind, I think it's starting to muck with trying to get back to a good rhythm on HoHH and other writing.  As a fun, 'extra' activity, it shouldn't be doing that...

Funding for House of Hellish Harlots Art

I should have written this last month, but that ended up being one of my 'off' months where I went AWOL for a bit to recharge/mitigate burnout.
