Here's the .psd file for 382 Seaside Observatory. Notice that it is necessary to have Photoshop to use it. Inside you will find that it is all white. That is the uppermost layer, I only use it to make the file preview smaller in size. Once you remove that uppermost layer you'll see the illustration. (it's just one click)
Most of the illustration elements are properly named and arranged in folders in the layer area. Some assets like textures or smart objects have been ra...

Here is the seaside observatory. An interesting location your players may be looking for because it is capable to reveal important information about the current quest. Through the use of this primeval observatory, the PCs may learn of elusive information and facts not known by any mortal. It is designed as the cornerstone in between two campaign sections.
There is a school of sahuagin roaming in the area, they do not have any interest in the observatory but know that wel...

This is issue No. 10 of Dungeon Vault Magazine. A compilation of adventures, lore, excellent cartography, and useful digital goodies.
Dungeon Vault Magazine is all about providing interesting ideas and lore to DMs and storytellers. Within this issue, you will find varied adventure ideas.
These short modules do not stick to a unified template of sections. Instead, they are organically created and follow their own pace. The types of modules you can expect are city/t...

This is the cool hamlet of Clock Tower! It's a small place with less than fifty inhabitants that is on the road to the largest city in the kingdom. It survives from the commerce from all the travelers, merchants, and mercenaries. Its main feature is a clock tower that was repurposed as an inn/tavern. The small settlement owes its name to this establishment.
The place is about to light up thanks to the unwelcome presence of a band of orc raiders that will attack Clock Tow...

Hey there, Denizens of the Tower and Traveler friends!
This is a level 3 adventure in delve format about an ancient mausoleum everyone knew was there but ignored. One day the doors opened and a bunch of undead came out and attacked the populace. The town council hired a small group of brave adventurers who went inside to fix the problem. However, none of them returned after a few days and the council needs to hire someone else.
Deep in the ancient mausoleum, a bygone king of a for...

We're trying something new this month. We always loved the dungeon-delve format from DnD 4e. It was a cool way of portraying dungeons and encounters where the whole thing always took a single page or a two-page spread (see above).
In book format, it was really cool because you had everything you needed on the page, and turning to the next page was a completely different section, dungeon, or encounter. We're gonna try doing this in a 2-page format this month and end up with a nice compil...

We're closing this month with a goblin lair inside a dried-out water well. A recent earthquake shifted the flow of underground currents and the well dried out. A bugbear and a community of goblins found the place and built an elevator contraption to access the three lower levels. They've made plenty of modifications to the place since they arrived. Unfortunately for them, their way of life shall be their undoing. They have recently decided to target a nearby villa...

This is a level 5 adventure but I must say the environmental/positional hazards are quite lethal here. It's a cool tomb/mausoleum setting with some verticality in several of the areas and a nice final area for a cool boss fight.
As usual, the map is included in several formats so it's usable as a different location or on Roll20.

I recently finished Dark Souls 2 and the concept of the endgame location named "Throne of Want" left me thinking about incorporating a similar concept in a map. Sure, the scope here is smaller than it is in the video game. Plus, I can't account for people's campaigns coming to an end with a few paragraphs of background lore. So here we have an interesting experiment. This is supposed to be an end of campaign quest, at level 13. You know I keep the short adventures smaller in s...

Well, the pyramid still remains an uncharted place in the desert. One that many believe contains extraordinary treasures and wealth.

There's a small fishing settlement where the fishermen have been attacked frequently over the past few weeks. Four of them have gone missing recently. It is all the fault of a school of kuo-toa fanatics that look for living human sacrifices. The fish folk recently found an ancient temple to an obscure entity called Dagon. In its sanctum, they conduct dark rituals and sacrifices to gain the favor of the Old One.
The sailors know the place where the kuo-toa can be found bu...
