Hello everyone,

I started working on Mother's event today. The first batch of renders for the event will run tonight.

I'm expecting to have the update ready for the end of the week, or at least very close to it. The update will most likely be able to be released on the regular schedule.

Update 8 will be the end of the 'big story progression' I have been doing for a few releases.   It's still too early to talk about what comes next, ...

It has been a fun but long day. Dealing with Abigail's and Emma's trial was exhausting, so settling in a little cabin with beautiful girls and booze for the night might just be too much.

Not much to say today. I have all the renders for the update. 

I have to do the writing for what's left of Abi's quest and some coding for the update to be ready.

I took as many days as possible for the game. I'll have to work at my regular job this week, so things will be a little slow but everything is going fine except the update being way more time-consuming than expected, but that's old news now.

I have most of the renders for Abigail's quest. It's going well on that matter. I'll try to have more time to work on the update this week. It should be a quiet week at work if no issues pop up.

Concerning the release date, it'll be for next month on the regular schedule, we're already the 13th on it wouldn't make sense to release the 20th or so, as it would be impossible for me to deliver something in time for July.

Hello everyone,

What's new since my last post? I'm finally done with the Emma part. After, 1700 renders used for her! 

Now, I'll be doing Abigail's quest. It's going to be fun. After the ceremony, she won't hold back her true desires. 

Emma's quest was the first one and a lot of coding was required, along with some test renders for the new environment and all. It should be faster for Abigail.

Update 7 - Delayed + Preview

Hello everyone,

As expected, I'm not able to render all the scenes for Emma in time for the release. Emma alone is at over 1200 renders (animation frames included) which is usually a whole update (including animation too). So, yeah, I went a bit crazy here, but it's MC's final test after all! ;)

Hello everyone,

Good news and bad news today.

Bad news first. I had less time than usual to work on the game and the update was bigger than expected. I might delay the release of update 7 or release half the planned content, not sure yet.  Handling the karma for all scenes also adds quite some time.

Good news now, the update is looking very promising. I'm taking the time to do everything I want/planned for the last trial of the MC, so it's taking...

A little bonus render with Mother out in the woods today!

Finally, 100% focusing on the update until it's ready. Update 7 will start right where update 6 ends. The MC will try to find his way back home, but it won't be that easy.

Hello everyone,

Let’s talk 0.6 which I will call update 6. I’ll drop from now on the traditional versioning for something more understandable for everyone. The update will now follow this pattern: Update 6, Update 7, etc. Patch will still be a letter, in alphabetical order.

ie Update 6a, Update 6b, etc.

I spent some time improving my animation skills and I think it now pays off. The last scene of Update 6 will have 100% custom made complex animation...

Karma Poll

As I stated in the previous post, one thing that came back more than once is the introduction of different scenes based on the karma, forcing you to do 2 saves to see everything the game offers.

What are your thoughts on that matter?

Should the karma only change the dialogues of the scenes and all the scenes are available no matter the player's karma?

Or do you think it's a good idea to have exclusive content based on the karma?

I’ll start working on 0.6 tomorrow, so no preview for now, sorry. But I’ll make it up to you. Next release will be much more story oriented than 0.5, so expect progress in the plot. ;)

Patch D is also available at the same time along with a 'low-resolution' version of the game, which is about a third of the original size.

The image compression used to reduce the file size doesn't affect quality that much.
