WIth the whole ‘Joker’ matter being handled by the foremost occult expert that can both be swayed by a few million dollars and also will take Tanya’s calls, doing her own research wasn’t likely to do anything but waste her time. 

Which is good, because while perusing ancient tomes did have a visceral appeal to the history otaku inside her… dealing with the actual magical… programming, she supposed was the best term, made her head spin. It’s still a big part of her job...

First of all, this week's update is gonna be a little late. Hopefully I can get it done tonight, but it's only half done so it might be a Tuesday update instead. Very sad.

More importantly, and the reason I'm making a post instead of just being late, I've decided that yes, I'm going to be taking April off again this year, just like last year. Tanya spent the rest of the day doing actual work. The office still hadn’t really calmed down over the Powdered Midnight, and the revelation of alternate conditions creating substances with different states of matter had led to a half dozen different variations of the moonlight ritual to see if they could find one that actually worked.

Sorry for the late post, but I'm still not happy with this chapter. It doesn't really match my vision, but despite how dissatisfied I am, it's coherent, so it'll have to do.

Before anyone complains about this being the last chapter, I should point out that while it may have been more chapters if I had written this immediately after the other ones, it wouldn't have been that many chapters: I'd say no more than three, and probably only two at most. It was always going to end after the war did, and chapter 9-10 left off with the war being pretty close to over.
