Upcoming illustration for Dustuu, still trying to figure out the water effects, but overall Im incredibly happy with how its turning out!

This piece was meant for pride, BUT a lot of stuff came in the way before I was able to complete it xD
Though Im glad I didnt rush it, I love how the end result came to be!

Truth be told, the most satisfying part for me in any drawing with exteriors is arranging the clouds.
The cityscape though will be a bit of a challenge to pull off however 😅
SO after finally sorting out things and being able to settle after the move, I’ve been working with another friend of mine to make a multislot, since we both wanted to draw a summer themed piece together
They’ll be working with the lines and character whereas I’ll focus on colors and rendering (he also did the layout for the bg though!! Ngl I always struggle with that XD)

SO for the second part of commentary on this piece I’d like to focus on an AMAZINGLY important piece of technique anyone can apply to ensure their drawings come up more colorful!!! Its probably one of the most important things I do with my drawings.

So lately I've been thinking of ways to decrease the overall price of my art to ensure more people are able to actually afford it.
I don't think I'd like to work on flat colored pieces due to several reasons, but mainly because I want to ensure the quality of my work remains the same, and one of my strongest skills tends to be color rendering and shading.
So I currently think that offering multislot versions of some pieces could help me set a lower base price WHILE ensuring folk...
A lot of the time ideas for scenes pop up to mind from pictures or experiences I find randomly in my day to day life. Ironically the concept from bubbly came finding a really cute floatie at the discount section while buying groceries (no, unfortunately I didnt buy it).
Once you have an idea in mind it can be hard to put it in paper though, so searching references to cement what you want is important when drawing (at least for me). FORTUNATELY I did find a good ref at pinterest, but it ...
