We hit the funding goal! Here's the first four chapters of my dreampunk novel. It was originally a comic script that I pitched to Image comics about three years ago, but I decided to work on novelizing it while I was in Japan. It's been a lot of fun to write and I'll try and get it out to you guys a few chapters at a time. Let me know what you think!

I wanted to just make a quick video and thank absolutely everyone that's chipped in for the Patreon over the last month or so. It's totally surpassed my expectations and it's enabling me to work on the comic full time, which has been a huge dream of mine.

RPG updates

For those of you thinking of running a game with the RPG, I'll post a very simple GM toolkit and a scenario to try out the characters with in the next week or two. I'll expect some earnest playtesting feedback though!

Hello all you lovely people.

Our first google hangout is going to be Saturday, September 26th, from 2pm Pacific Standard Time (US). I'll probably just chat and draw for an hour or two and you guys are welcome to join up. I'll post the link up here when it's up so you can hop in.

Hangouts video/voice has a limit of about 10 people, but the chat is up to 100 so I don't think it'll be an issue. You will need a google account to participate.

Thinking about color

I think a lot of people when first trying their hand at coloring (myself included), get really restrictive with the color choices they use. For example, a tree must have dark and reddish/brownish bark, and green leaves.

The thing is, in reality, color is not a fixed phenomenon - your perception of color can change based on time of day, light, atmosphere, reflections, sub-surface scattering (this is what happens with stuff like skin), and many other factors. The brain is also extremely ...

RPG Updates

I'll probably have the play sheets (characters) for the RPG up at some point in the next week for $10 a month Patrons for you guys to check out and give me feedback. It'll have a simple mechanics explanation if you've never played Apocalypse World or any of its incarnations as well.

We hit the $1500 a month mark! However I will mention am a little suspicious that the very high monthly amount a patron pledged may have been just to hit the milestone goal this month. I'm going to honor the milestone by starting more work on the RPG and aim to get you guys a text-only playtest copy in the next month or two.

Huge Thanks
