Friends Through Thin and Thick (5K Watches!)

Yeah, so... sorry this took two weeks! It's been pretty hectic on my end and it's been hard to find the time and motivation to art on the side of all the other stuff I've had goin' on but, dang it; it was worth it because... 5K watches! That's NUTS.

7-23-21 Personal Update

Okay, so there's a couple reasons I have no art updates, but this is chief among them:

Picked up a vesa mount for my tablet so I can move it into "Second monitor" position and have some desk space again for the first time in a couple years. It's a little less stable than having it sit on my desk (obviously) so It'll be interesting to see how protracted drawing sessions work out. (I think it'll be fun though)

UNFORTUNATELY... I didn't realize that all my cables are too short to ...

Ti-iiii-me... was not on my side. No it... weren't? Whatever! This is all I ended up Getting done tonight. I hope it looks more like sweat and less like the plague than I fear it does. XD

Tried some new stuff. I defeated 'rain' but was in turn felled by 'sweat'. (and honestly that window needs to be bigger; it just kind of looks like a tv on the wall... whatever; I'll figure it out tomorrow. Next time, Gadget!

7-18-21 Midnight: 5K Watch Special Pt1

Essentially this is the first half of the 'public release' version the sequence finished but not getting released to the public. XD

Hopefully this'll tide ya'll over til I can actually finish the second half, after which I will begin work on Kamisato Ayaka Plus for Genshin. (I'm pretty hype for her release.)

Not sure what I'm going to name this one. 'Growing Friendship?' Seems a bit on the nose... ^-^'

7-17-21 Midnight Update

So, I actually set aside time to work on this tonight and the time ended up having to be allotted to something else. That said, This should give you a clear idea of where this is going. I should DEFINITELY be able to get the first half done tomorrow; not sure about the second. Got some work around the house that's going to need to get done and I also  need to find some time in between for myself because my Sundays are always a bit of a circus and don't function as much of a recovery day ...

7-16-21 Midnight update

Sorry I didn't really make any headway today, ya'll. Part of it is that I ended up working kind of late at my Part Time Job but I also kind of screwed myself over on time as well trying to get an Xbox controller to work with a specific game on my PC. ^-^;

Seeing as I'm technically not 100% done with the contract work I've been moaning about for the last month and the final due date for the one piece I have left is next Friday I *may* only have time to do the first half of the sequence ...

A little annoyed I didn't get further on this; that final panel is proving to be a complete pain in the butt. That much mass just does not walk comfortably XD

Got slowed down a little bit as the later sketches were more... sketchy. So the new stuff is intermediate and will need one more draft to really come together.

7-13-21 Weekly Work and Some Sketches

Getting started on the 5K watch, weight gain chronicle for Satori and Audrey; as much as I'm not big into going through the trouble to make sequences, this is actually proving a valuable exercise in body language and posing, and that's nice!

Also, included were some random muscle lady doodles I did this afternoon when I was not in a position to work on the WG sequence. The middle sketch was the first for fun, the one on the right was pushing the overall size to see if I could go bigge...

So after last week's post a BUNCH of people really wanted to see me try my hand at 'Strong Fat' and given that Korra is a little on the strong/athletic side already, I figured she would be a perfect candidate.

Anyway... I don't really have a 'story' on this because I haven't seen Legend of Korra, only Last Airbender (and its been years) so I'm just going to lazily opine that Sumo wrestlers have to exist in some form in the world of Avatar given the extent to which it's inspire...

This intermediate rough took waaaaaaay longer than I wanted it to; I probably chose a more complicated pose than I needed but hopefully this'll help me raise my art stats.

Also Leading up to this I had a rare night where every little thing in Genshin Impact decided to be grating past a certain point and this was how I chose to "unwind" afterword.
Not a great Idea initially! But eventually I was able to calm down and clear my head and now I'm quite pleased with where this is going,...

Rough layout for Korra Fan Poll art! Gonna try to work on the composition a little more; it feels ever so slightly flat but it is more dynamic than the work I've been turning in for the last month!

Not much to say here on Patreon; you all witnessed the journey of this piece and I said most of it then.

That said, I encourage you to make of it what you will since I have no plans for this design at the moment. It ended up being a lot of fun to make though; thank you all for encouraging me to do both versions. :3

If I have time I might try to do a bikini version of at least one of them as a patron exclusive this month...

SO. having decided that trying to develop two sketches partially was less efficient than developing one sketch to a more acceptable level...  I sabotaged myself by asking the question: 'Okay but what if I drew this same outfit on a muscle woman?'

6-29-21 Update- Polls, 5K Plans, and Artist block
