SDA50N Got Power? We Don't

What does 600 watts of solar, over 900aH of batteries and a 2200W generator get you? Nothing.

Our solar doesn't work well, our batteries don't maintain a charge, and now our generator has died!

Where do you go for generator repair in the Exumas? Good question.

Don't forget to dive your shark!

SDA49N Is the GoPro Red Lens Worth It? (for underwater shots)

We compared our GoPro Hero 7 Black with a red lens filter to our GoPro Hero 10 Black with no filter to see what worked better for underwater filming in the shallow, clear blue waters of White Point in the Bahamas. But first we checked to see if spinning around caused our anchor to foul, flew our drone, Halo and we went ashore to see if we could hike to the ocean side... that didn't go as expected at all! What's your favorite bigass spider recipe?

SDA27N Up the Mast and Under the Waves

Being a sailorgirl has its highs and lows! At Heddy's Land, Great Guana Cay, I head up the mast to retrieve a broken pennant halyard, and then we dive on a beautiful manta ray.
It's all fun and games until we check the anchor.

We suck at planning excursions, but we're learning. How hard could it be? We live on a catamaran cruising the Bahamas. The content writes itself, right? You'd think so. Take a few minutes with us to discuss the pitfalls and planning that go into creating content

SDA47N Back in Black Point

Deja Vu Beach and Shark Feeding!
We finally make it back to Black Point. I love this place. It feels like I've always known it. This time we visit a beach on the ocean side. It's not much for swimming, but the view is stunning.
Stopping near Lorraine's to pick up a delicious loaf of fresh coconut bread leads to a surprise. We watch some local fishermen fillet some nice Mahi Mahi and feed the local nurse sharks, led by a very cool looking albino. She's most definitely the boss!

SDA32N NOT Bitter Guana Cay

At Jacks Bay on Great Guana Cay we struggle with anchoring on what looks like a sandy bottom, but it's actually sand over rock, until we get way close to the beautiful beach. Exploring takes us to South Gaulin Cay, beside Bitter Guana Cay, where we encounter some very friendly iguanas.

We take 'Imp' to a nearby set of shallow coral heads to dive on them and see what nature has to offer under the sea. Rounded off with another test flight for 'Halo', our DJI Mavic Mini II, we've barely to...

SDA45N Chasing Todd: the Story of a Dark Angelfish

Diving shallow waters has its advantages. Shallow water allows more light and brighter colors. The Pimlico Cays in the Exumas are shallow and rocky with plenty of healthy coral, beautiful reef fish and angelfish with attitude. We'll call this beautiful, big, dark angelfish, Todd. Todd was up for the chase. He didn't hide like the other fish, but he did come back to check us out several times. This shallow water dive was beautiful and fun. Every time we tried to cut back the video we found som...

SDA43N Deeper Dive into Conception Island

We didn't get enough of Conception Island during our last short visit, so we couldn't resist as this paradise Island beckoned to us all the way from Cat Island. We weighed anchor and sailed back to explore the beaches, mangroves, reefs and stunning features of this isolated nature reserve. No phones, no internet, just beauty all around us.  We sail south to Conception Island, where we anchor at the southern end of West Bay, right beside a beautiful reef we want to visit, but not with the...

SDA42N Hermitage Tour and Fresh Conch Salad. Cat Island!

At Cat Island, dig into Duke's conch salad to stoke up for your hike to the highest elevation in the entire Bahamas. Theresa takes us on a tour of the historic hermitage. It's a bit of a hike, but it's a fascinating look into the life of the famous Father Jerome. We see more than the usual amount of land based animals. How many do you count?

Let's see if Dave can make it all the way through this religious shrine without bursting into flames, and can you write Dark Angel in the...

SDA41P Spinnaker Rigging Done Wrong!
