Space Trexxie

Sometimes I have these "brain farts" that come up for no reasons. I almost always don't share them here but sometimes... Just sometimes it brings something along that I like. I've been trying to figure out how to design Space Trexxie in a way that clicks with me for some time... And I think I've finally got a read on her. She has a "Jetson" vibe to her but I like it!

Pinup quick update!

Re-drew it from scratch. It wasn't doing it for me so I restarted it. Funny how sometimes you put hours drawing something until you convince yourself it's okay... Then, a quick flash of inspiration and you draw the concept in 5 minutes. 

Will post more updates after I clean this up. But this is waaaay better.

Marie: Moving the story

Hi everyone!

Hard at work on the next pages of Marie. Some really fun pages are coming up and this is one of the most fun I've had on a book. I was supposed to introduce Marie's sister at the end of this chapter but she'll have to be moved to the next one. It felt like I was rushing the story because of that and I really want to take my time with this. This chapter will end after Marie and Lucas's night on the lake. The next one will shift in tone a bit after that.

Just wanted to give a quick update on Marie. I'm inking the next batch of pages and just wanted to share that we're entering the fun stuff. Not that I don't like drawing the "character" moments, but this is the icing on the cake. Very exciting and the story is about to shift in a way that I can't wait to share.

Next Marie status + pinup update

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to keep everyone up to date on the comic's progress. I'm presently very advanced on the colors so I think early next week. I'm also very excited as I will be introducing a brand new female character in the next update. Been working on her for a while so I'm thrilled!

As for the next pinup, I've done various sketches, will share with you the "before" inks and colors soon. Hopefully this weekend.

Here's a quick glimpse of my WIP for the next Marie update. I will update by the end of the week. I must admit I'm having a ball drawing and coloring Jungle Jackson for this chapter. She's amazing. 

There's also ray guns on the back wall. One of them is from Space Trexxie. 

This story is opening up the world to previous comics and I love it.

Introducing... wait... I should say Reintroducing Jungle Jackson.

Yes, for this chapter, Marie shares a scene with an associate. Tera Jackson, who I have previously drawn adventures of her as Jungle Jackson. For this story, I felt like if I don't have to create a new character, maybe I can just use the ones I already have. As long as it makes sense to the story. Jungle Jackson was a lot of fun to draw, early on as she's kind of a Tomb Raider-esque character favorite of ...

New Marie update coming this week

Hello everyone!

Just a quick update as I'm nearly done coloring the first Marie update for chapter 2.

These pages were beasts to color as there is much information on them. I'm having a blast giving tiny piece of info as to the fact that some time has past since the first issue and Marie and Lucas have become closer. We also see what Lucas's interest is, besides Marie. ;)

Very eager to release the next wave of pages. This is the most fun I've had on a comic.

I know, I know... It's not always about "THE" stuff. But that's an important part also. The setup It makes the other stuff worthwhile.

Needed to give Marie's house an official design. Did it in 3d and drew over the shape of it and tweaked it. That way it will always be on point. (You see the house once in the fist issue)

John here. Just a quick update that chapter 2 of Marie: Rise of Adam is offially written and am working hard to thumbnail the whole thing right now. I apologize for the gap between updates but as soon as the first pages start coming up, it's not going to let up.
