This was a very cool sci-fi episode. When I was grabbing the image for the thumb, I found that this was originally a short story published in 2005 in an anthology titled Constellations.
A lot of stories with the foundation of this one out there but I liked the little twist.

Wow - what an episode
Had a lot to talk about at the post-episode discussion.
This anime has given us a nice push, well... more of a crescendo into the end with how serious the story has become. Legit will be sad if we don't get the media magic happy ending but at the same time, it wouldn't make much sense to. Either way, I will likely enjoy what it ends up being because there is a lot of respect to put on this.
