I loved all the suggestions this time around and I'm glad I expanded the opportunity to include the T1-ers aswell. Aside from also including more people in the suggestions for more variety, it also seems to have motivated more of you to participate, which I love :3

Now, I don't actively jump on opportunities to draw my own characters, but I'm not going to turn them down either, so have Alecto looking a good deal less dignified than she usually would. Better hope she doesn'...

Hunting Trip

Here we go. This month's "Finish This Imish" all the way rendered up.

Very happy with how this one turned out. Just about everything I imagined it would be when I had worked out how I wanted to continue on it.

I'll show off the WIPs and do a little more explaining and stuff in a T1 post tomorrow, where I will also be posting the winner of the "Sketch Suggestions" that I didn't get around to today on account of rendering this.

So this post is way out of wack in terms of timing on all accounts. Some of these were done a while ago and were waiting for things to happen before posting, others were only done last night, and the third element is me being unable to sleep yet again and writing this post as 3:30am - don't worry, I'm right back to bed after this. Crowd Surfing

I have no idea of the actual context described in the short story draeg mentioned, but this is what came to mind. Not a lot of distinctiveness in the characters this time around, though I leaned a lot on Ruaidri's maned wolf girl for visual inspiration. It was still a fun idea.

Also, since only two of you bothered to put in an idea, I don't see a reason to continue holding out eligibility on folks for having suggested something last time, seeing as there isn't that much interaction.

So while Kal was visiting I was playing around with this idea of Nyx having a set of familiars. In the original mythology she has a chariot pulled by horses, but aside from me not being much a fan of horses (and yes, the fandom is partially to blame for that), I feel the juxtaposition of a gaggle of tiny cat people associated with a sinister primordial goddess is a fun concept to play with.

So I checked back to make sure and I actually didn't forget to upload anything here, which is both reassuring and somewhat confusing to me, because I don't feel I had a lot of output in November.

We did it. The first page of Royal Escort is officially done! 8D

I'm really liking how it turned out. Now I just have to worry about making the rest of it look up to this standard (but I'm actually fairly confident I can do that).

Also, thank you President Eisenhower, for providing me with a speech to substitute in your farewell address. It probably deserves better than standing in for dry rhetoric in a lemon, but I honestly didn't feel like sinking hours of work into a monologue ...

Not just lines, but some color too 8D

There's a couple' fixes and fine-tunes still required, but it's going places faster than I expected it to. I'm keeping some references by other artists comic work on hand that I wanna emulate, as usual, though I'm not 100% on how well my style is gonna mesh with theirs - (Terry Crews Yell) experimentation!

For now, I have shading to figure out and some of the effect work, and what I want the actual base "paper" to loo...

Fancy Title

So despite theoretically being relatively straightforward, that title splash actually took me a couple' hours to do, mostly because I felt the available arab-imitating fonts weren't legible enough, so I had to do it all from scratch. Fluff also doesn't have a reference for the pattern on Ayn's Tiara, so that was also done free hand (in the background of said splash).

New Month, New Doodles

Alright, so I failed to account for the possibility of a tie again, but remembering that I'm the one running this sham, I'm picking what I feel like working on this month I guess. To make sure we have some good rotation in the topics and images, the others I had on offer wont show up for the next couple' months, but they'll make a return down the line.

In all seriousness, the vote turned out about how I expected it would. Two thirds of those who voted went for having me do a page at a time, and I think that's likely the best option too. I just didn't wanna color the voting by putting out a personal favorite.

I think I made the mistake of treating this like a commissioned story where the story and stages have to be signed...

Dress For The Occasion

It's the end of the week and I actually managed to put this together. Woo!

Just a quick note, I realize the names on the ranks are teeny-tiny. That wasn't deliberate when I made the files, but I figure it's not too much of an issue either, since the focus of this thing is more on the uniforms and their function, not the rank structure itself - however I have put some thought and work into that aswell for a potential second installment in the future.

Goings On

Heya everybody!

So there hasn't been a lot of showable productivity from my side this month - "yet". What I mean by that is that I've been busy doing a bit of prep work.

Last month, when I showed off some of the concepting I'd done for si'itian uniforms as background stuff for Royal Escort, it occured to me that I have wanted to do some lore showcasing material for the longest time, and I got the feeling many of you were wanting for that kind of stuff too.

So happens it ended up being Tygon's suggestion again. While I have no problem drawing suggestions I like, I'm likely going to keep track of who got picked for an idea in the future, to make sure everybody gets a turn, before re-picking someone's idea. Just feels like a better deal.
