I ended up going with the prompt of an interaction between a fire fennec and a lioness, both because it got popular encouragement, and because it's what came to mind the easiest. I can definitely imagine a bouncy fen trying his luck at impressing some passers by at a market or something.

Escorting The Royals

Took today's warm up time and put down more roughs for Royal Escort, pages 4 and 5 this time. I also went into "archives" (the really dusty folders in the back of my art stuff) and dug out the old pages for that compare&contrast I promissed and good god is that an awful throwback XD Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see my advancement as an artist, but some of those proportions and compositions from back in the day make the back of my hand itch in the worst way.

Honestly, as far as I know, discreet hasn't published anything truly specific about them, but their concepts of the world are fascinating and I love every bit of art they do post of it. The pinups and lewds are just a nice cherry on top as far as I'm concerned...

Pest Control Sketches

Dress For The Occasion

Something I've touched on conceptually from time to time, but never really fleshed out, is si'itian guard formal dress. I figured now was as good a time as any to get that sorted and did some doodling.

I looked at several forms of modern parade uniforms and tried my hand at combining them with elements of what's known of ancient egyptian dress, ending up with the very rough idea of what you see on the left.

I haven't drawn Ayn in half of forever, so this was as a good an excuse as any other to doodle her up and see what she looks like in my style these days. Honestly, I'm rather liking her in my updated skills. That character crush still holds true X3

Arboreal Critter

I'd doodled this up based on a brief idea of trying to come up with more unusual anthro desgins, egged on by a certain fox who shall remain unnamed.

A mix between a Capuchin Monkey and Indian Giant Squirrel which I feel would make for an interesting arboreal species. They might even make it into ARC, though we'd have to see just what role they'd play in that universe.

Right, small hiccup - the voting went through fine and, checking the results throughout the week every once in a while, there seemed to be a winner decided for most of it. So yesterday's exploratory idea was rejected, or at least it didn't quite hit the mark they were going for. The penis probably stays, but the overall aesthetic needed adjustment, so I did some more concepts.

d, e, h and j are to be considered in the closer selection for tomorrow. Honestly, very much not my favorite choices, but that's okay. They're only one-of's anyway, and whatever gets reject I might be able to recycle into something useful down the line.
