Weeks slipped by in the new foreign land, and Halcyon had fallen in with  several packs of mercenaries off and on during that time.  Eventually,  she'd find her way into the Capital City of Lordaeron, where she  wandered looking for work.  It was during this time that she'd met the  young, handsome crown prince of Lordaeron himself, Arthas whose very  smile brightened the streets of the common people.

if Halcyon's face is meant to be unafraid but docile, and curious, then Arthas's face should say "join me" but while he was intentionally made to look strong and potentially domineering, his expression should show it's purposefully softened, and a welcoming sort of 'youre part of us now' invitation. 

And deep under that, hopefully in his eyes and brows you can see that hidden lick of power and dominance and sheer will-power that says "dont disobey, dont disappoint me"

Halcton isnt meant to look angry or sad, but sort of uncomfortable yet earnest if that makes any sense. Her face is honestly one of the hardest to portray emotions on because Hal actually refrains from showing extreme emotions/expressions and often has a cool, collected, slightly annoyed expression.

A 'resting bitch face' if you will.

HIGH RES, and let me just say, I did this in a 12 hour stream and this is my favorite page so far. I feel like I leapt in bounds on this one and finally, for the very first time in my art career, since designing halcyon, I have made her look PERFECT in her face to what I wanted. the perfect level of absolute masculinity, on a female frame. AHHHH, SO HAPPY.

i'm trying once again, to push for a style upgrade. I want my work to be AWESOME. not good or ok. eventually, soulbound iwll probably be all dynamically shaded, but for right now cell is what i have to stick with as it's fastest. but that doesnt mean i cant push for better anatomy/lines.

unfortunetly....... those above tiny amount of lines took about 2 hours. :/ slowly stopping and starting, tweaking and fixing until it was very very close to perfect...is time consuming. I am /hilar...

I spose I should clarify, my schedule has been thrown into a jumble recently, as my roomate/good friend is off on sundays/mondays and i literally CANT GET ANYTHING DONE on those days now. sooo..basically i have been trying to [unsuccessfully] change my schedule, and it is a bit of a nuisance because i had been doing SB on mondays and that was working very well for me, but now everything needs to be pushed forward a day and rotated slightly.

Page 10 revamp

Hey guys, this is the high res of page 10, posting it again because I realllly didn;t like how it looked and it was not flowing dynamically with page 11 [and the better speech bubble style used on pg11] so here it is redone, I also changed the shading on the bed/background, added some texture to hal's floor..and did the nice echoey effect I originally wanted on the speech bubbles.

Side story arc chosen: Little brother

you guys chose! so I will be working on this project starting in a week, once I have my SB comic page for the week completed/in the works.

The little brother comic is quite old so I will be resketching the existing pages [the art is from like 2012/2011, oh god its bad]

once that's done it'll officially start! and will be posted alongside of soulbound, but bi-weekly so as not to hinder SB's updates.

ALSO, I have begun the tedius task of updating SB's tumblr page, it is/SH...
