The latest page had a bit of a journey, you could say. Got all three versions for you here.
I've really been trying to focus on page composition, thinking on how to better guide the reader's eye through the page. And in text-less action scenes like this one, composition becomes especially important so readers can get what's going on and in what order.

One of the more awkward (albeit hilarious) parts of drawing, well, anything, is taking those dumb reference photos of yourself when there's nothing else to use :D
I've never had actual refs for Mischief's chin tattoos! Considering *how* he got them, they need to have a certain look to them.
Aaand well I just got one of those charcoal toothpaste things as a gift and realized omg I can put this in my mouth so I can properly do Mischief's markings...!

Found some super old (2014) concept art I doodled for Unknown Lands! Before I started drawing the actual comic.
Top left one I think was a concept for the forest opening where we first meet Inara and Mischief. All other ones are for places to come in arc 2 ~

I made very messy thumbnails for this page so long ago that now I have no idea what one of the panels is supposed to depict o_o I do thumbnails beforehand to speed up the process of actually drawing the pages, but this one is really not helping :D

I wanted to make the comic a new banner and figured I could make an extended version of it as a wallpaper too! Teensy bit more elaborate than before and the composition was a nightmare to get right, but otherwise I think it's looking pretty good.

Marya and Kielo are kinda sorta based on my grandparents :D My grandfather would hunt and grandmother gathered berries and mushrooms and gardened like crazy, so we'd say that together they combed the forests pretty effectively.

I've updated the comic's playlist with a bunch of songs!
The list consists of various songs I've either used as inspiration for the comic or just associate with it or its characters. Songs go from neo folk to pop to metal, etc.

In the latest page I was having trouble with the panel where Mischief clubs an elf over the head.
The original version (on the left) was from an angle I had always imagined that shot, but it kept looking just... super awkward. Anatomy was weird, couldn't get the appropriate dynamic momentum to it, felt like the walls of the panel were closing in x_x
