Tomorrows release of the Animated Steelpecker will be a bit later then normally and only on YouTube in the beginning. It will be released at 6pm CET.
All other promotional posts on Twitter, Tumblr, S4S and the official TS4 forum will be posted later that evening. This also counts for the ModTheSims upload as I won't be home for the rest of the day and a large part of tomorrow.
So be sure to check YouTube tomorrow if you want this mod as fast as possible!

As my poll about adding 'Bakie' in front of the object's name has a clear winner (from the 103 people voting, 97% said yes to adding Bakie), I've already added it to the Steelpecker object too. As the video has already been made though, you won't see it in tomorrows video. When placed in game, you will see it as above.
Besides adding the tag to the object's name, I've also added an extra line of text to the description in which I mention about the search tag.

For the thumbnail of the Steelpecker I decided to use the same scene as I did for the cowplant as they're great to combine with each other and also shows the ability to place the steelpecker into the skulls deco slot.
In the video I also use both this scene as well as another one on the same lot.

Just to confirm that I will release the Steelpecker mod this week. As for making the video, I've already recorded both the voice-over as the video and screenshot footage, so I will soon start with editing the video itself after I made the thumbnail. Probably will be sharing that one later today too.

Hello all,
I've been asked by someone on YouTube to add 'Bakie' to all my future content so if you want to search for my mods only, you can simply type Bakie into the search bar too.
Right now most of my mods can be found by typing 'Animated' into the search bar, but as I made some other objects too, these will then not show up.

I've updated the steelpicker to be able to be placed into deco slots, so you can place it on top of the cowplant skull for example. Just like in the screenshot, the deco slots on the nose fits quite good as well as the one on it's forehead. Don't place them at the same time though, as they will go straight through each other.

I'v decided to add some deco slots to the cowplant skull too, so birds can sit on top of it.
The iguana on the ground could be placed as this object doesn't mind other objects straight through it. I've also done this so it can be placed in between grass for example.

Although I had problems getting the disabling packs option to function properly earlier this day, I now got it to work by deleting a mod that made custom umbrellas possible (I didn't used it anyway).

An extra interaction I thought would fit this object too, is the option to sell the skull to an oddity collector as a cowplant skull isn't something you find every day. If you have the Get Famous Expansion too, this will also give you a bit of fame just as with the specters in jars.

Something already mentioned in yesterday's post, a new take photo interaction for the cowplant skull. Instead of having a take-photo animation, like with my Onibi mod, this time you can make the photo yourself!
After clicking the skull, click the entertainment option followed by the 'Take photo of cowplant skull' option [Image 1].

Although I mentioned in my former post that I probably wouldn't add a buff to the "view cowplant skull" interaction, I've decided that I would!
I've went for an "inspired" buff lasting for 3 hours. The reason I did, is because just viewing a skull without it actually doing something isn't that fun. Besides that, having the inspired mood helps a tiny bit while doing another new interation: Taking a photo of the skull.

Eagle VFX
So the first thing has already been added, which is the visual effect of an eagle flying around. Just as with the Bone fish mod, this eagle effect will disappear after 6pm and won't appear again unless you replace the current object with a new one. There might be a change that the eagle appears automaticaly after some in-game time, but I haven't seen it happen yet. As for my next project, I'm going to do something different then the Onibi in Jars as I've seen enough Onibi/Specters/Jars lately. So I'm going to take another look at my ideas/to-do-lists to hopefully come up with something new.

Back from my holiday, so I can go work on making and releasing mods again.
For this week I hope to be able to release the Specter in jar mods. Good thing about it, is that the mods theirselfs were already finished before I started working on the placeable specters mod. So only making a video should in theory be possible I guess.

Hello!
I'm not sure if I shared this before, but beside repeat placement, I've also added the ability for the specters to be placed onto the water surface of fountains, pools and oceans.
When the fly close to the border of fountains and pools you can still interact with them. You can't interact with them if your Sim is swimming in the water and the specters fly above them for example.
For the ocean counts the same, though here Sims need to stand near the ocean's slope to be ...

I have the feeling not uploading a mod for so long doesn't do any good to my creativity. This is the best I could do after a few hours :(

Besides just hanging in the air like on the former image with all 4 next to each other, they also become active at some point. This idle form can be seen on the first image. You will only see them this way after you just placed them.

THIS is what I think people will find even more interesting! So instead of the specters in jars, you will first get a Placeable Specters mod and only after it's been release, I will release the specters in jars. Which also sounds more logical I think...
