Water Reeds Dragonflies Fix Update

Hi all,

I just uploaded the new fixed mod file for the Tutorial about
"How to make an Object Tuning Mod - Moderated Way".

Someone on MTS made me aware of the fact that since the Stranger Ville update, our Sims weren't able to get to the bin-toilet any more, so I fixed this some time ago, but as I already mentioned, forgot to share this with the community.

As my mod made with the tutorial above wasn't working correctly in game, your Sim couldn't get to the bin-toilet anymore, this has now been fixed:

This only counts for the extra mod-file I made back then, if you simply follow the tutorial above, you will get almost exact the same outcome ...

Country Flags

Hello all,

Not many news as I haven't got any time to work on the country flags at all the past few days. I was very busy with all kinds of things in my personal life and there fore didn't have any time to work on additional flags. Also the rest of the week there won't be a lot of time to work on the flags and a video about it.

So what I'm planning to do now is trying to fix one of my older mods and promote that one instead. I will probably take a look at the Water reeds ...

All 10 flags that will definitely be in the pack:
Norway,  Scotland,  Turkey ,  Brazil,  Colombia, Uruguay,  South Africa,  Uzbekistan, China and Japan.

Don't know yet what other flags, but no time to think about that this weekend as I won't be home that much.

Some more info on the Country Flags - Additional Pack 2!
After a lot of trial and error (just as with the first 2 packs  😅 ), I've finished the first 5 flags for my second pack of flags.

The requested countries added so far are:
Norway, Uruguay, China, Uzbekistan and Colombia.

The Countries I will add also to this pack are:
Japan, Scotland, Brazil, South Africa and Turkey.

Next project!

First of all, as you can see I changed "This week's mod" into "Next Project" as the release of my future mods will be just when they're ready. :)

At the moment I have a long list of possible mod ideas but as more and more ideas are added to the list on a regular base, some older ones kind of disappear. Think about the Country Flags which I shared back in 2016.

People could do requests back then and people still do, but I never made a new pack after the first additional pack which...

Something totally different in this news post today.
Last year I already had the idea to start a collaboration with some other Creators in the Sims community and after making some preparations for this collab last year, I went into my "moving" period so haven't worked on gathering Creators anymore.

But this morning I send out some invites to some well known The Sims 4 Modders (Creators) asking if they would like to join or for most of them to send them the link...

As I thought that the Denizen Pond that came with the Get Famous Expansion Pack could be made more useable for a larger part of the community, I've made a standalone mod of it with 10 new recolors, added more deco slots and changed the light colors that are visible at night.

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Thumbnail

As promised, the final result of the Revamped Denizen Pond Thumbnail!

I've choosen to use all three "themes" so it will attract more people and it's more clear that it's not only one of those themes which has been added as an additional recolor.

For example only using the Bloody pond on the thumbnail might only attract the people playing with vampires and not the people who play in more realistic settings.
Or the people playing the more medieval settings probably would like ...

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Slots 2

This was something else I had in mind while adding the additional slots on this object.
It can become sort sort of holy pond where the people who's blood is in the pond can be honoured or something like that? I really don't know..  😅

I'm sure people playing with vampires can come up with a much better "story" for this pond.

For the thumbnail of this object I'm not sure yet if I will just show one example, like the one above or one example for each three themes, so on...

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Slots

I think I've finished this mod finally by adding a LOT more slots then I had in the beginning.
The reason for adding more is, as some of you said, that it would be nice to add more potted plants around the pond.

So instead of the 10 additional small deco slots I had in the beginning, you can now use an additional 30 small slots, 10 medium and 10 large. :)
Of course if you want to use as much as possible you will have to use the "Move objects on" cheat so objects can be placed into...

2000 Tumblr Followers!

June 25, 2018 I reached my first 1000 followers on Tumblr, which was approximately one year after I started my own Tumblr page.

Now within a year, I've reached 2000 followers. So I can definitely say that Tumblr is growing way faster then my YouTube channel did in the beginning. Although that does makes sense as I started modding back then too, so no one had ever heard of Bakie or BakieGaming yet.

It really makes me feel happy that there still seem to be people discovering my mods...

Stranger Ville

Hi all,

Did you also already bought the new Game Pack?
I did this morning and I'm looking around for new ideas and actually playing the game for the first time ever for more then 1 hour as I'm doing the "Quest" to find out what is going on in that village.😁 

Of course I cheat every now and then to hurry up the process a bit, but it gives me a nice look at the new objects in this pack too. I think they did a really nice job so far.

Sneak Peek Image - DenizenPond - Bloody - NightLight

And here are the final 2 recolors of the Denizen Pond, the Bloody ones.
For each recolor I used a different light color. For the Fresh blood, so the upper one, I used a brighter red night light color. For the Old blood, so the lower one, I used a more mixed color of red and purple which matched with the pond much better then the total red one.

I hope you all like these night colors too!

Next things to work on now are the additional medium and large slots, so more potted plants ...

Sneak Peek Image - DenizenPond - Fresh - NightLight

On the image above all Fresh recolors can be seen with their night lights.
Other then with the Mossy night lights, these have 2 different lights which I tried to match a bit to the different pond water recolors.

So the upper two with the lighter blue water color, also have a much lighter blue night light.
Where the lower two, with the darker water colors, also have a darker blue night light.
As can be seen on the image, the sprites added to these ponds match perfectly with thes...

Hope everyone had a nice weekend?

About the Denizen Pond Night Lights. On the image above all Mossy recolors are visible, with all the same Night Light color. As the rocks theirselfs don't have the same "amount" of moss on them, the light color changes a bit too.

In my opinion are the lower two the most beautiful looking, but maybe that's also as I like those rock recolors more as those have the most moss.

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Mossy - Night Light

I've been testing a lot of Night Light colors today and I wanted to share already one of them with you all. On the image above you see one of the four Mossy recolors with it's green Night light!

For all four Mossy recolors I've used the same green light, but because of the rocks having slightly different colors on all of them, it will also slightly change the color of the light at night. New Animated Frogs Thumbnail!

As I need to update the text and download links on YouTube anyway, I thought that making a new Thumbnail that looks more like my other YT-thumbnails these days was necessary too! So here it is!

It's also good to get familiar with making thumbnails again after such a long time 😀 

Now let's work on those Night-Light Denizen Ponds some more and add some more medium and large deco slots. :)

Updated Animated Frogs!

As promised, here's my updated version of the Animated Frogs mod.
Things that have been updated in this new version are:

 • Added the ability to place them on small slots too (Before only placeable on Medium and
  Large slots)
• Fixed the View Interaction. You can once again click the frog to get a view interaction:

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Night Light Colors

So this is the other thing I've been trying to make to work for hours today!
The image above shows the original lights that appear when night falls in.

The stupid thing is though, I've changed multiple different things for hours and there wasn't anything changing! Very frustrating I can tell you. Before I started I already thought that I've found the right place to change this light the other day. So I started changing a lot of different lines in the file to find out in the end that ...

Additional Mod info

I've changed something from the original idea of my Denizen Pond mod, which is instead of an override containing the 3 default recolors of the pond too, is making it a standalone mod without the original recolors.

The reason for this, is because if another modder makes an override of this same pond with other cool recolors for example, you will have to choose which mod you're going to use as you can't use them both at the same time.
Making it a standalone, you won't have this problem...

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - New Slots!

Finally a day where I could work for multiple hours on my mod again! I haven't got not even one of those days since the move, so I'm very happy I had today.

Let's start with the slots. The original pond has 3 small, 3 medium and 3 large slots. Those slots are divided over 3 different spots. So each spot has a small, medium and large slot.

4k Subs on YouTube!

Hello everybody,

Despite the fact that I haven't been uploading any new mods or videos lately due to the moving, my social networks still keep becoming bigger and bigger.

I just saw that I've reached the 4000 subscribers on YouTube. Back in november last year I reached 3500, so that's a lot of new people with not even that much new mods and videos.

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Bloody Recolors

As mentioned in my former post, here are the last 2 recolors I made for the Denizen Pond. As I've only made 2 new bloody recolors, I decided to make a small scene and show the ponds both in daylight as at night time.

The first recolor is with a transparency of 80% and the second with a transparency of 50% again. The first looks more as a pond with fresh blood that way and the other on a pond with older blood. I've also changed the way the blood looks on the ferns and the leafs of the fl...

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Bloody (Original)

So the pond on this image is the original second swatch from the Denizen Pond for which I made an additional 2 recolors. The reason for not making 4 like I did for the others, is because I choose to make some bloody looking recolors for this one and making one with fresh and one with old blood is enough I think.

Sneak Peek Image - Denizen Pond - Recolor Mossy

It took some time, but I finally had some more time to recolor.
In the image above, the first one in the upper left corner was my first attempt to recolor the swatch which I showed the first time. For that one I recolored the plants and sand around the the water, but also the water itself to look as if it has been there for some time.
