A week after I shot with Jay, I set up a remote shoot in New Zealand with Lucy.  It was quite an experience to coordinate times since she was not only a different time, but on a different day than I was.  She had to wait for her partner to take the kids to school before we shot and trying to coordinate that time was hard.  We got some great photos out of the session, but I haven't tried to set anything up with her since.  She also travels to the US when it's safe to do so....

This set was shot with Jay towards the end of August, and we were both lamenting the end of summer.  At least we got to do one shoot outside in her back yard.  I do wonder what some of the models' neighbors think when they see the models posing.  I know that  Vivian and I were interrupted during a shoot in her back yard a little later in the year.  She carried on a conversation with someone (a friend) who walked into her yard while we were shooting.  Yes she was ...

I next shot with Makayla.  This beautiful redhead and her partner were getting ready for the hurricane.  She took time out to shoot while he tightened up their house.  It was windy as you can see by her hair.  Their house survived the hurricane.

Stephanie is a great subject.  We shot this series at her parent's home in Cyprus remotely.  After this shoot, she decided to immigrate to Cyprus and up and moved.  She's been dealing with that ever since.  She's finally found a home and we are planning on another shoot in the next couple of months.  She's also a great model to work with.  I kind of have had this british model thing going on this past year.  It must be the accent ;-)

Next up is Samantha.  I met up with this beautiful young lady just outside of Pinedale, Wyoming and we spent about an hour shooting lakeside at Half Moon Lake.  Samantha is a wildlife biologist and was doing a summer internship in Wyoming.  She is a lovely young woman, as you can see.  We got some great photos.

I apologize for being absent these past few days.  I was having computer issues and had to have my hard drive replaced.  I'll catch up today.  I next shot with Helen once again in 2020 remotely.  She had spent a couple of days rearranging her furniture and reassembling her bed.  She had to set the camera up just a few feet away and directly at the window so the light was very harsh.  We made the most of it though.  That's the problem with remote shooting in ...

Kristy was on her way through to her home in Washington and stopped and spent the night in Grand Teton National Park.  She's trying to visit as many parks as she can during her van life.  She and I had talked about a shoot in the park for a couple of years and finally made it happen.  We had to wait for a small group of people to leave at this spot before we shot, but it was worth it.

Happy New Year to all of my followers.  I hope you had a safe and joyous New Years Eve, and I wish you all a prosperous 2021.  Continuing on with the 2020 In Review series, next up is Elle.  I had seen photos of this beautiful brunette being posted in the remote shooting groups on social media, and I contacted her to see if she would be interested in a remote shoot.  She and I hit it off right away.  She started out as an actress but wasn't getting any parts and took ...

Here's my last post for 2020.  It was taken in 2018 when Kristy and I worked togther out at Redstone.  I took over 500 photos of Kristy that day and got a little overheated.  It was from the sun.  I also blew the radiator out of my truck.  What a photographer goes through to create art.

Kate hails from England which is under tighter COVID restrictions than the US, believe it or not.  I found her through a few remote shooting groups I belong to on social media and was immediately taken by her good looks.  We set up a remote shoot in May and followed up with this shoot in August.  She doesn't pose nude, but is comfortable posing topless.  I guess she has a stalker that contacts photographers that work with her that says he'll pay for nude shots of her, disg...

Sam was one of the originators of shooting remotely having figured out the methodology to use to tether cameras and computers together to allow photographers and models to shoot even though separated by thousands of miles.  She was just being published in European Playboy when she and i shot this set.  It was taken in a front bedroom at her boyfriend's house in Indiana.  It was a little humorous in that Sam stood for a while in front of the window facing the street and was spie...

Jay and I met up through a private group on Facebook featuring remote models and photographers.  She is located in Canada and is a hospital nurse.  She was assigned to the COVID ward for a few weeks.  Modeling is her way of decompressing, and she is really good at modeling, and as you can see a very beautiful woman.  She and I shot a few times remotely and we always got some great stuff.  So I'm picking up the pace a little bit.  We have quite a few shoots to sti...

Olivia and I met up in Billings, MT as I was headed through to my 9 to 5 job.  We spent about an hour along the Yellowstone River.  This was her first modeling gig and she was great to work with.  She was a little hesitant to shoot nudes, but we spent about an hour shooting her in lingerie.  It was cloudy so the light wasn't the best, but we persevered.  She is a very beautiful young woman.  We got some pretty good stuff and I look forward to working with her aga...

Helen and I got the brilliant idea of remote shooting outside on the hottest day of the year in England in the reeds outside her house.  At the absolute wrong time of day.  We got some pretty awful photos and some not so awful photos.  We quit as the mosquitos descended on her for the feast.  We had a helper running the camera, and like I said we didn't get very many good photos and not any great photos.  Oh well lesson learned.

Merrique put out a blast on FB that she had a remote shoot scheduled and had been stood up by the photog.  She was asking if anyone would be interested in taking his place.  Talk about being in the right place at the right time.  Of course I raised my hand.  As many of you know, Merrique is my favorite model.  We shot this in her blue room remotely.  We were having a lot of issues with that bright window but got some great stuff.

After spending a week in Utah with Meghan and extolling the virtues of the Tetons, she and I set up a half day shoot in my neck of the woods.  She actually brought her daughter up to visit Yellowstone Park and we spent a half day at several spots I know shooting.  I know I've said Meghan is beautiful and really artistic at posing.  Her daughter who is 6 spent the day keeping bears away by blowing her whistle.  Meghan thanked me for telling her daughter that whistle blowing...

2020 In Review Merry Christmas

I won't be posting on Christmas Day but I wanted to wish each and every one of you a Very Merry Christmas.  This photo with Zoi was my last remote shoot for 2020.  I hope you enjoy.  In this year of the pandemic, I want to thank all of you for your support.  I still have quite a bit of posting to do from 2020 to do so hang onto your hats.  One of the bright spots to come out of 2020 was models and photographers learning to shoot remotely.  It allowed photographer...

A couple of days after my shoot with Merrique, I shot remotely with Helen.  Helen is located in Great Britain in a flat right next to the Thames River.  She had just blitzed out one camera and bought this one used to continue her remote shooting.  This first remote was a little shakey with the window throwing the absolute worst light, but we got a few good photos.  She and I have shot several times remotely and each time have gotten better photos.

Merrique contacted me and asked about remote shooting.  She was just starting out and this was her second shoot.  It was a little shaky at the start, but with Merrique's beauty it all worked out.

This gets us half way through 2020 and there's still a lot more to come.  Stay tuned.

And so we bid farewell to Utadventure tour and these three lovely women at the Great Salt Lake.  Don't worry though, there will be lots more of these ladies in future posts.  In fact Meghan and Claire will be featured in a couple more 2020 In Review posts.  I shot with them both after the tour ended later on in the year.  I tried to schedule another session with Melia, but our schedules just didn't mesh.  I haven't given up.

Moving right along with the Utadventure photography.  Meghan is one of those models that exudes a throwback kind of vibe.  I don't know why but I always envision her as a woman right out of the pioneer days.  She certainly is beautiful, but has a wildness about her that you can't quite put your finger on.  She's great to work with though.

Still on Utadventure tour.  Melia and I shot this during golden hour.  We spent a few hours walking along the rim of Goblin Valley and shooting at various spots.  There were quite a few people camped in that area so we had to be a little careful of where we were shooting.

As we were driving to our next location, we ran across a herd of wild donkeys and of course what were we to do, except stop and pose with the donkeys.  From left to right, Anoush, Melia, and Meghan.  Three lovely ladies.

Day 3 of Utadventure Tour started early with an easy hike up Onion Creek near Moab, UT.  Along the way, Claire and I stopped for a few photos. Actually Claire, Anoush, Melia and I took the opportunity to shoot a load of photos.

Zoe

Just a bonus post break from 2020 In Review for my $5 and up subscribers.  I didn't think you would mind seeing another photo of the fabulous Zoe taken on Exploregon 18 months ago.  Zoe is absolutely a joy to work with and a great model.  Although you can't tell it by the photo, she's a tiny and petite thing but absolutely fearless.  Tomorrow back to the 2020 In Review series.  Thanks to all my larger subscribers.  Your support is appreciated.

After spending a few hours in Leprechaun Canyon, we moved just down the road to a small place with colorful formations where the ladies once again posed.  The bugs were fierce, especially as it got towards sunset.  Over the next few days, I shot with Anoush several times.  Can you blame me?

Day 2 of UTadventure.  We started the day at a slot canyon just outside of Lake Mead Recreation area.  Meghan and I got several great shots in the canyon as did Anoush, Melia, and I.  Meghan is not only beautiful but an excellent model.
