Wonderhussy

She adopted that name and she tells you why over on her Patreon Page. If you're of a mind go support her efforts as well.  This was our first stop.  The intention was to climb Whitney Pass and shoot some photos looking out across the vista of the Parashant Wilderness.  As you can see in the left portion of the photo, a serious rain storm prevented that from happening.

Sarah Jane and I went out to the desert to shoot a few photos this week. It was supposed to be 67 degrees, but I think that was in the weatherman's dreams.  I didn't see the temperature climb above 50 degrees all day.  Nonetheless Wonderhussy was a trooper and we spent the better part of the day creating some great art.

We had some folks in an off-road vehicle buzz right by us just as we were finishing up.

As you can see from the fabric, last year's shoot was a little windy.  We shot this series just on the outskirts of Las Vegas.  A subdivision was just a half a mile north of us.

I'm including a few from a shoot we did last year, just because Jill was saying we didn't get the lighting quite right.  I disagree.

We ended the day at Lake Mead where we shot some nudes with the lake and mountains in the background.

Jill and I scheduled a shoot this month at the cement plant.  We ended up doing a lot of glamour because there were a bunch of kids having a paintball war at the other end of the place.  Every once in a while they wandered our way but for the most part we were out of their sight.  Another group of models and photogs also showed up.  It was quite the busy place but we perservered.

This is just a little teaser from this shoot.  We shot over 900 photos and IMHO rocked them all.  Merrique is hands down the most beautiful woman I shoot with.  I'll be posting more as time allows.  Thanks again for your support and I hope you enjoy.

I can see the light outdoors, but studio lighting is a completely different animal.

Merrique and I scheduled this shoot about a month ago hoping it would be warm enough to shoot outdoors.  It wasn't.  We moved the shoot to Photo Bang Bang and spent the day in studio.  Special thanks to CuJo photos for helping with the lighting.

It rained during the morning hours on this day, but the sun came out during the shoot.  This was taken on the backside of Arches National Park.  You can hike in and not see another soul.  I'll be posting more of these two beautiful women, solo and together as the year progresses so stay tuned.

We had some beautiful weather while we shot and the bugs weren't too bad.  It was mid-September when we shot these.

Before taking a break, Candace was a very popular model.  She has since started working behind the lens and is quite the successful photographer living in San Fransisco.  Dasha, along with Dmitriy organizes photography trips on a regular basis.  The trips have become quite popular.

Candace has suspended her modeling full time, but still does so occasionally. Dasha is a full time traveling model.

A few years back, I was lucky enough to shoot for 4 days with these two incredible women all over the state of Utah from Salt Lake City to Moab.  These are a few of the images I captured of the two of them together.

The last one in this set for now.  Brennan and I have shot together several times since this first session and always manage to create some great art.  Of course like I always say, I just push the button.

We set this shoot up weeks in advance, and as unusual as it is, it turned cloudy in Nevada.  We had flat light all day, but made the most of it.

Brennan is one of the few models that really intimidated me.  She is so beautiful that if you get a bad photo, you know it's your fault.

Brennan spends a great deal of time in Haiti trying to better the lives of those people affected by the earthquake and hurricanes.  She makes her way over there a couple or more times per year delivering materials to the Haitin people, unlike groups like the Red Cross and Clinton Foundation who just donate to themselves (ask Brennan sometime about that).  She also found time to protect the model community from sexual predators disguised as photographers, by publishing a list of photogs...

In honor of Brennan returning from  Haiti, I thought I would make a special post from our first shoot together.  She has become a great friend as well as a wonderful muse.  I hope you enjoy this photo.

We shot these just as the wildflowers were starting to fade.  About the only thing left was Indian Paintbrush and Golden Rod.  This is the last one for now, but stay tuned.  Zoe and I are scheduled to shoot again at the end of April in Nevada.  Thanks for supporting me.

All of these were shot in the national forest behind my house in Wyoming.

Zoe hails from the east coast, actually New York and had been traveling across country for a few months.  She would fly back to New York for a breather when she felted tired. I'm one of the few photogrpahers living in Wyoming that shoots art nudes.  I only know one other photographer that does it.  Most photogs living in my area specialize in landscapes or wildlife.
