Zoe

These are from a series I did with Zoe as you was travelling through Wyoming last August.  She was kind enough to stop and spend a day creating some wonderful art with Ann and I. We started out and it was a little chilly but warmed up as the day went on.

And who better to close out 2017 with: Dasha of course.  We shot this in her house in natural light, a fitting way to close out the year I believe.

It's been fun working with all the lovely women you see on this page over this past year, and I already have shoots scheduled in 2018 with some of them as well as some new faces.  I hope you've enjoyed my photos over the past year and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you in 2018.  Tell your friends :-)

Grace, who hails from Thailand, was another of the weekend's models.  While it may sound like a dream come true, the shoot was actually pretty crowded.  It was difficult to find a spot not already taken by another photographer or get shots without a photographer/model combination in the background.

Brittany was another of the five models that I shot with over this weekend.  She's also a hostest on Naked News, a newscast featuring nude women anchors.  Only in America :-))

Ziva was another of the workshop models.  It was conducted over two days in Las Vegas with multiple lighting scenarios.

Lanei was another model at the workshop and is local to Las Vegas.  We're already making plans for a shoot in the desert in 2018.

I attended a workshop where we were shooting in a Las Vegas penthouse using natural light.  Kenna, the Penthouse Pet of the Year was one of the models.  I can see why she won Pet of the Year, not only because of her beauty but also because of her personality.  She really engages with the camera.

Sekaa was traveling through (November seems to be a good month for traveling models) and wanted to shoot again.  We went out to Gold Butte and again the weather was perfect.  Sekaa, like many of the models I shoot with is a true artist.  She would look at the back of the camera and say let's do that one again until we got it just right.

While we were shooting in Oregon, Kira and I talked about a shoot in Nevada.  She was planning on being in town in early November and was looking for a place to stay.  We set this up in Gold Butte.  It was the least crowded I've seen it when we shot this set in December.  And finally the weather was perfect, not too hot not too cold.

Okay so the plan was since Brennan had never been to Wyoming, she would come and stay a couple of nights, and we would shoot.  Well guess what? It turned out cold and windy.  Not to be deterred, Brennan and I shot around my house.  I had a fire going in the stove so when she had goozies on top of goozies, we would run back inside and stand by the stove until she got warm and do it all over again.  She didn't complain once, but did turn blue a couple of times :-))  We did...

The third model this trip was of course Floofie.  One of my favorites as you can tell by the number of pictures I have of her in her album on Flicker.  I told Ann as we were driving to Oregon, even though I've not been to the location before, with Kira you know you're going to get some great photos.  She is an extremely talented model, and I'm glad to say she's turned into a friend as well.  Her and Dasha have made me a better photographer.

Verronica and Ed.  Verronica hadn't been on a horse before but wanted to try.  That's why you can see the lead.  Ed would stand still for a moment or two and then try to walk with Verronica on his back.  Verronica didn't like that part much but was a trooper.

Jessa and Ed.  I'll let you guess who's who :-)  The backstory here is that Ed's owner was camped at this spot with Ed and another horse when we showed up, three models and the same number of photographers.  The ladies immediately started undressing and Ed's owner came over and said that he wasn't surprised since this spot seemed to be a magnet for nude models.  He had seen one the day before, but she had cut her foot and left.  As it turns out, Ed's owner had worked in ...

Jin had just returned from a marathon trip around the world. This was her first shoot after arriving back in the US.  We met about half way between where she was staying and I live in Craters of the Moon National Monument.  We didn't actually shoot in Craters of the Moon since the rangers there don't have as much tolerance of model photography as the rangers in Grand Teton National Park :-(  We shot just east of the monument and as we were walking out to this spot, fearless/cluele...

Zoё is one of those iron women traveling models.  She contacted me and said she was traveling across the US by car (she's from New York) and wondered if I could put her up and perhaps shoot.  I agreed and we shot for half a day in the forest.  She's a petite young woman with a huge appetite.  She warned us about that :-))  I've since learned that Zoё is very passionate about her art and her freedom to express herself through her modelling.  She was once arrested f...

Rose and her boyfriend traveled to Wyoming in August for a weekend getaway and we ended up shooting at several locations in the Bridger Teton National Forest. Her boyfriend is quite the photographer as well.

You know that Ahlisha was pregnant most of the year having her baby in late-November.  Both mom and baby are doing just fine.  Ahlisha and I had agreed to shoot several times during her pregnancy, but it just didn't happen.  This was the only time we got together.  She was about 5 months along here.

What do I say about Dasha?  She and I have created some beautiful art over the years and she has helped me immensely with my photography.  Ann likes to joke that she can tell me a hundred times that I'm over processing a photo, but if Dasha or Kira say it once, I take it to heart.  I must confess it's true.  This was taken in Grand Teton National Park and just after we shot this, a ranger stopped by to tell us to be a little discreet since there were families on the trail. &n...

Rose and Shelby were traveling through Las Vegas in mid June and Ann and I just happened to be there so we three (me, Rose, and Shelby) got together at Photo Bang Bang to shoot.  Photo Bang Bang is my favorite studio and Curtis Jo Walker, the owner, is a great help to those of us that don't have a clue about studio lighting.  Rose and Shelby worked really well together.

Gwendolyn contacted me and asked if I could put her up overnight as she was traveling through ans asked if I wanted to shoot.  We did this shoot on my birthday and once again it was bloody cold.  I just didn't have much luck weatherwise at the start of the year.  I submitted several images from this shoot to a print magazine which were accepted for publication.  It's easy to see why with such a beautiful subject.

Jessica was in the middle of moving and needed a break so we went out to the desert west of Vegas and shot a couple of hours.  Like I said earlier as the year went on, she got more comfortable with her body.  This was taken in late-April just before we started back north.

Jill and I met through Wonderhussy and for whatever reason Jill took a liking to me and immediately nominated me as the photographer for the Goddess Collective, a model group in Las Vegas that she started.  She is one of the models that got me started thinking about shooting models.  Her and I are connected through some sort of empathic link and are both cancer survivors.  We were celebrating our 10-year cancer-free anniversary during this shoot.

Tiffany is a full time hard working traveling model.  She's been modeling since the age of 10.  She's one of the first models I hired, and her and I have worked together several times over the years.  We shot this at the cement plant on her way to LA.

Okay back from my nap all rested.  Merrique came back into town after our attempted shoot a month earlier at this location.  Remember cloudy and windy day with Kira.  This day was really nice and Merrique and I shot some great photos, one of which I've entered into a photo contest of themed nude photography.  We'll see how I do, and I'll let you know the results.  Merrique is one of those models that just rocks everything she does.  She also has a Patreon page. &nbs...

This was a crazy idea I had about a vampire shoot.  I contacted Brittany and Jessica, who were good friends, and convinced them to play vampire and victim at Photo Bang Bang.  They were good sports about it.

Maria and I have to stick together.  We're one of the few photographer/model duos from the great state of Wyoming.  She and her husband were vacationing in Las Vegas and while he played golf, she and I went out to create some art.  She runs a successful page on Patreon as well.

Merrique, Kira and I scheduled a shoot and once again the weather just wasn't cooperating.  It was cloudy and extremely windy.  This is an out take from the shoot.  You can get a sense of how windy it was by looking at Merrique's hair.  These two construction workers were freezing their tushes off :-)

Shortly after Viktoria and I shot together, she checked into the hospital seriously ill.  When we shot together, she weighed all of 70 pounds and was suffering from a serious eating disorder which she developed as a result of her ballerina days.  She has since recovered and is fighting the disease.  I wish her well and send prayers her way.  She has gained some weight back and is recovering.  I didn't realize how the disease can affect a person.  She is truly a love...
