When the renowned Dame Rohese, a knight of sound character and follower of chivalry, took on one of the savage Beastfolk as her squire she faced scrutiny and ridicule from her peers. However, she insists the young non-human man has his uses despite the males of his subset of Beastfolk being small.
She is highly protective of her little squire and many fiend that has tried harming him from peasant to noble has met their swift end by her blade.

If we're still doing a continuation of the initial theme of this being a black and white photo of the viewer's family secret, then one of them is their parent and the rest, aunts and uncles.
