ive been doing a new layer effect recently that i like a lot bc its very simple but it can add extra interest to smaller things 

i put my line and color layers into a folder and then make a new layer outside of that folder

put that layer above the folder and set it to clipping, then add a darker destaurated blue and set the layer to divide mode 

it will lighten the colors you have so i account for that in my initial color layer, and...

i remember when they first got paired i was so hesitant to have them actually bone

i think i wanted to draw it but there was nothing there when i pictured it and that never really happens with personal characters

the letter v has that slightly more sinister feeling to it i think 

the arm is a soft cartilage-like material that has a unique ability to extend and contract which can be used to fire a sort of grown projectile 

not sold on the little diagram itself but the idea is there
