Just wanted to let you know that I'm alive and the work on the current scene is going great. I was able to combine everything I want.
Lots of positions, voiced dialogues, a couple mocap "tests," here and there, interactivity, immersion, good performance, ton of animated expressions, and overall very fast & responsive scene. Still not done yet but it's 100% coming this month.
After that I will be "tidying up," the page and start preparing it for the upcoming tier chan...
I decided to show you guys and gals my way of using mocaps. The scene is a bit railroaded so it's not like an actual "game," but it really feels like it :D
Anyways, there is a lot work to do until I release this scene, so I hope this will satisfy your curiosity for now.
I'm starting over with Mental Discharge, the concept is pretty much the same minus all the body-writing options -for now.
We were doing mocap for the player model the last couple days, I've gone through all of the animations by hand and things look smooth & seamless enough. I think this will be a good scene to showcase what I have learned so far.

Yes: Less lights, less immersion, still not much performance gained in VR and the performance may still be impacted due to the amount of menus, animated morphs, soft body physics, hair etc. anyways.

The headset arrived early and I've spend a lot of time with it yesterday, getting used to it. Turns out I've got an iron stomach since I was getting like 2-5 fps on VaM with my Desktop settings and managed to brush it off.

After releasing the Belline update I finally took a day off to re-charge and got my healthy 8 hours of sleep.
