#93: At the beach

I wanted to paint some characters at the beach!

It turned out to be a much more challenging scene than I thought it'd be. 😅 Painting a lot of characters like this makes it much harder than I hoped to get a satisfying amount of detail in each of them, so I'm probably not likely to try this again very soon, lol. Still a useful thing to experiment with though! I hope you like it.

Some recent sketches

Just wanted to show you some sketches I've been making recently. I hope you like them! I don't know yet exactly which ones will turn into full paintings, but the beach scene is the one I'm working on this month. That one is very much a feel-good scene for me, so it's been very relaxing to work on so far.

I like the lewdness of the first sketch, and the storytelling in the second sketch is interesting to me as well, so those two are good candidates for what could come next. 👍

I've been playing around with some ideas about how demons are created, and that maybe they're not only born, but that other races, like humans and elves, can be transformed into demons. Maybe fully and permanently, but also temporarily or only partially. It could be a fun way to enable some cool character designs and situations! #91: Haifang daydreaming

Hey! Here's the illustration I worked on through February! I wanted to have it done a couple of days ago, but I had stared at it for so long at that point that I had a hard time knowing what was left to do on it, lol. So I took a much needed break from it and worked on some other stuff in the mean time. This is probably the best orc butt I've painted, lol. I hope you like it! And the rest of the painting too! It looks like forests continue to be a reliable place to get laid in this world. :) It's been a fun painting to work on! I feel like I had a little bit more control over the art style than in some of my other work, which feels good.

This has been an interesting painting to work on. It was tougher than I had anticipated! I tried a few things that worked well, and a few other things that didn't, and I may have gotten a little bit ahead of myself during the earliest stages of the painting, especially considering it's got a lot of architecture that I'm not super used to painting. And clothes! I think it turned out alright still though! ...

July went by pretty fast! I hope the last few weeks have been good for you guys. Here's what I've worked on this month! Luke and another dryad girl are enjoying a hot summer day together. But with temperatures being so high in real life lately, I started thinking about how nice a little bit of cool rain feels on those hot days, so I threw that in there! And it makes the scene wetter. Hey! Here's a hot and messy one. I hope you like it! I've developed a healthy appreciation for throat bulges recently, so I'm glad so many of you voted for it, and I think it'd be fun to paint more of it sometime. :)
