Hey guys! Here's the latest picture. Thank you for supporting it!

I feel like this one ended up being one of my better pictures. I'm pretty happy with how the colors turned out.

By the way, I'll be posting pictures directly here on the Patreon page from now on, instead of linking to pictures on Tumblr. Patreon recently updated their Terms of Use to make the rules about posting my type of content more clear, so I'm more comfortable posting them directly here now. :)

Outdoors

I don't really paint outdoor environments very often these days, so this was a nice change from the usual. Painting the organic shapes of rocks and plants is a bit more relaxing than drawing man-made structures and objects where accurate perspective drawing is more important. I'd like to have more outdoor environments in my pictures. :)

For this picture I decided to tinker around a bit with a cylindrical perspective. It really helps prevent perspective distortion in images with a wide field of view, and in my picture in particular I feel like it helped avoid a boring flat view of the back wall. Keeping warm

A few of you might remember the lady in this picture from some character sketches I made almost a year ago. She's one of the people living in the town near Maya's laboratory. As you can tell, the winter gets quite cold in their area, so they do what they can to keep warm.

I learned a few techniques for setting up perspective lines throughout the process of this picture, which will come in handy later. I'm pretty happy about that.
