I always have fun painting chill pieces like this one, it might be my comfort zone. Also, it’s been a few months since the last time I drew Kate, and that’s way too long. I wanted to make it all look like a mess, the coke on the counter, the typical plants everywhere, shirt on the couch, the paintings, the clothes and the hair, it’s fun trying to find a point where the comfort of the chill situation and the akwardness of the mess merge.

I have been wanting to try sequential art and thought it would be cool to do it with my OCs Elly and Alphonse (yep, finally cam up with a name lol).
The inspo for this were mainly Maria Llovet’s Faithless work and Gregg Smallwood’s Human Target, trying to catch the very graphic plain lenguage and the fluid interaction of the characters.

Sunday naked but jacket!
This is def my favorita Monica look, this might sound shocking I know, but I’m a sucker for hero costumes with coats/jackets. Had a lot of fun with all the different curves on this, from the body and the coat.

Listen, there’s a Hawkeye in the piece, the situation has to be falling from a building, I don’t make the rules.
I think the only way Kate could have a chance against Nico is if it’s hand to hand, probably keeping her busy with something else happening and Kate’s smart enough to realize this pretty fast, so what better than a bomb arrow and fall off a building? It just makes sense.

Now that I’m seeing this finished, it’s a funny placement of the circles’ focus point.
I wanted to make it feel very confident and still, like she knows she’s in control here. Luckily, with that hairstyle and the circles of the background I didn’t have to worry about giving the rest of the body much movement, it compliments well the intention.

First late saturday night naked but jacket!
Long awaited one too! I always have fun drawing Emma and this time for some reason I decided to make it more difficult by not using any kind of ref for the face, but it turned pretty good, memory remains undefeated.

I love the combo of colors of this tone skin and the different yellows, and talking about it, I also like to do different types of bodies, I’ll probably experiment a bit with this in the future!
