Blizzard is coming

Teeth and feet.

A few studies taken from photos of dinosaur bones and other creatures. I took photos when I was at the paleontology museum, I was so fascinated by all these ancient fossils that I forgot to take pictures of the nameplates.

Below is a comparison of chicken, emu, and dinosaur foot bones. Not much has changed, don't you think?

Old Temple

Dark and scary pictures are not at the peak of popularity now, so it is unlikely that I will have much feedback on this series. But here's a little piece of the process over one.

inktober

Whoa, now I'm working on a really big project, although it's just a personal one, but I haven't done anything that big in a long time. So this is a real challenge for me. For now, I don't want anything to affect me and reduce my motivation, so I won't upload pictures until all the work is done. Now I'm in the middle, a little behind, but all work must be completed early next month.

These are two small test images, so you can imagine what awaits you very soon.

WIP

I love this warm, peaceful autumn day. The way it turns out makes me happy.

Oak trees

Several sketches were made last month. 

The first two pictures show our favorite oak under which we often stopped to relax and drink tea.

Study

 I was curious how my character would look in a realistic style. So I did a quick study, changing the species of cat. My character is a lynx.

mixer brush tool

Little tips on the sketch with the ships.

I had an old sketch, and drew it a little bit, then I switched to the mixer brush and started painting over it.

Calicotome villosa

For me it was a discovery that inside the inflorescence between individual flowers there is its own logic and dynamics of location. It's so amazing.

The summer was not very active, however, the last illustration hit me so hard on my belief in myself that I decided to take a short break to recover and try something new.

This i tried to simulate oil paint strokes with a mixer brush  on photoshop. I'm not very happy with how it turned out, but I liked the technique itself.

Haku

Recently I researched a new technique of drawing backgrounds, as well as tried to combine the scenic landscape and the characters stylized under the anime. It was a lot of fun. 

Maybe I should make some more of those pieces. What do you think about it?
