I miss these days in her career, when she was still a little naive and fresh-faced. I still like her current work, but her images now seem more staged, less genuine and free, more posed, maybe trying a little too hard.

We hardly talk at all anymore, though we are still on good terms. We always try to shoot together when she's back visiting my area, but our schedules rarely line up properly.

She had been self-conscious about her height, chest size, and so much more over the course of her young life, and was happily coming to appreciate her natural beauty and fair qualities. Personally, I couldn't find anything on her to complain about, and I think she appreciated this opinion.

 Occasionally she'd huddle against me for the transfer of body warmth, then step away to a healthy range for the lens while I tried to remain focused on the task at hand.

We were three stories up, and the chilly evening air nipped at her skin, which she said made her feel alive.

She flirted around and kept stripping off and pulling back on the jacket on the roof of the shopping mall parking structure. The moment skin was exposed, the group of kids across the way racing their remote control cars would suddenly grow silent, and once she was covered up again they would instantly go back to mumbling their excitement and alarm.

She was equal parts innocent ingenue and pouncing huntress, and there were many times where I felt conflicted in my role in our relationship.

She had discovered this jacket at at thrift store and bought it immediately, and when I asked what she was going to wear with it, she exclaimed "Nothing!" with that infectuous and nasally laugh she had.

She had a way of drawing you into her little web, though you never felt vitcimized. She was always sweet and smily and positive, even on her toughest days. But still, without realizing it, you were still being taken advantage of.

Tiffany knew how to gain men's attention, which came second-nature to her. She thrived on it, some would say in an unhealthy way, but it was intoxicating to be around.

But she was inherently naughty. Tiffany was one of the few women I ever worked with where I had to tell her to pull back from her sexuality a bit. She was too open, too upfront, too free with her own desires, which often and quickly passed from looking sexy to becoming pornographic. As a male, I of course was intrigued by her willingness to be so, but as a aphotographer, I always kept one foot on the floor.

Naturally creative. Tiffany had an interest in music, painting, performance, and more. Above all else, she desperately craved to be a model. I was the first "professional" photographer she ever worked with, and I don't think it's egomaniacal to say I gave her the first exposure  in her career, which has now been going on for years and taken her all over the country and internationally.

I had only met Tiffany Helms the week before. She was an aspiring 19 year old model who had moved to the area and been given my name by someone off of Craig's List. She was tall, willowy, and inherently sexual. Tiffany is that woman who just exudes sex when she walks into the room, making women uncomfortable and men distracted.

Th evening was cool and still, with only a group of kids in the distance playing with remote control cars. Those kids recieved and education that night.

Due to the overwhelming response to my first post sharing my great photos of Rae, I went digging in my archives and found this forgotten set. We shot these for a magazine spread on the idea of Objectification, and I figured what was more blantant and objectifying than using melons...?

PROJECTING, Pt. 1

For years I've seen people use projectors with nude models with varying degrees of success, but I'd personally never tried it. But with a very impassioned message from a sponsor at the $55 Level, I have reluctantly given in and walked away with images I think I really like.
