When I finally started looking through these recently, all these years later, I was shocked at how many good images there actually were and couldn't for the life of me understand why I had never shared them. It was quite difficult to narrow down which to process, so I ended up editing a wide variety of them for your viewing pleasure.

And she quickly got sick of having to put on baby oil every few minutes. I don't know what it was about her skin, but it seemed to absorb the oil much faster than any other model I'd ever worked with.

Bringing her adventures to close, I decided to try for a few quieter shots, so I got off my butt in the grass and switched places with her. The hill was much more steep than I had been aware of, so I tried my best to stand above her while still being angled down the slope. Though I felt precarious most of the time, she was her natural, perfect self. I love how sweet and lovely and real these shots are. A flower among the flowers.

I had convinced her to take off her underwear so she could show her bare thigh in the images when the skirt opened. Though she was nervous about it, the concept worked well. However, occasionally the wind would catch her dress a bit too much and her vagina would briefly go on display for me, the camera, and a few stray cows in the next field. The above image was taken only moments after such an occurrence.

I had picked up the dress she was wearing at a local thrift store, and about halfway through the shoot she discovered it had pockets. She acted like such a kid, so excited about every little thing, and from that point on she couldn't get enough of the odd pockets in the dress.

And that's how it went. Rae alternated between trying to pose like a model, grabbing her chest repeatedly, and laughing at herself. She really was a joy to observe.

And added bonus to all the jumping was that it made her round cheeks eaven brighter and rosier, and she finally stopped jumping when she said she couldn't breathe properly anymore.

Still feeling that she wasn't doing enough, she asked if she could jump down the hill, which I thought was a funny suggestion. She seemed so eager and happy about it that I said just to go for it. She immediately turned and ran up the hill, then began bounding down it as my lens followed her. When she got to a certain level, she'd turn around, run back up the hill, and start again. She did this three or four times, and all the while we both were cracking up at the absurdity of it all.

We keept walking until we had climbed up a sizeable hill, high above the road I usually shoot on in Sisquoc, Ca. The light was golden and the air sweet, and the wind blew warm all around us.
Applying coats of baby oil as directed, she honestly didn't know what to do in front of the camera, so I told her to try to ignore it, to just be herself. Oddly enough, being herself meant her cupping and squeezing her rather ample chest repeatedly.

"What do you want me to do?" she kept asking, new to modeling. As usual, I gave my standard "I dunno, move around!" answer.
"Can I run?"
"Um...sure...?"
And so she did, turning around after a few steps to laugh and smile back at me.
I loved how fresh-faced and natural she was, never once acting full of herself or aware of how naturally beautiful she could actually be.

Remember, these were taken back in 2011, and though I can easily see a difference in my work today, most people probably can't.
This was only the second time I had met Rae, but we had gotten along so well at her test shoot, I couldn't wait and asked to shoot her again only a two days later. Thankfully, she was more than game.

Looks fade, bodies swell and sag, but the connections I've made with many of my models, especially these select few like Cherish, really make what I do worth all the struggle. I've recently had a really harrowing experience with a model that is popular here on my Patreon that I've debated about sharing, but reconnecting with Cherish over the holidays really helped me feel appreciated and respected again.
