Captain Britain Watercolor Sketch

Good evening, Space Cats!

Been working on a getting a bunch of watercolor sketches finished this month and--which couldn't be more fitting for #Swordtember--three of them are X-Ladies with swords!

I'll post one a day the rest of this week starting with Betsy (aka Captain Britain) here. She makes a great follow-up from that Captain Carter I posted last week. Oh, and I just realized I gave Peggy a sword too! I'm totally on top of the current monthly drawing meme (for once).

Drawing Captain Carter

Time-lapse of that Captain Carter drawing from earlier this week. This one actually went pretty smoothly! Didn't even bother with pencils. Went straight to "inks" from the blue-line rough. So it's one of the shorter running times (about 6.5 min).

I've been rereading Sandman in-between other books this past year so it was nice to get a request to draw one of my favorite characters. One day I'd love to draw all The Endless. Maybe once I'm finished with the series. I realized there's so much I never got around to reading so a lot of their story arcs are still a mystery to me. Glad I'm diving into the world before the Netflix show drops.

The most entertaining part is in the first minute though where I'm trying to figure out what to do with Kamala's legs and where to place the cat. Rescue Mission

A bit of Ms Marvel fan art. Started out as me just wanting to draw a bunch of buildings and then I thought, "Why not put Kamala in there to make it more interesting" and, "While I'm at it, this could use a cat."

In other news, been working hard on the new graphic novel! Finished laying out Chapter 2 (of 8) yesterday. Dunno when an announcement is ever gonna be made about it, but crossing my fingers I can begin sharing a ton of the work I've put into it sometime next month.
