Here's a little picture set which I photographed with Kristina Makerova during a coching session with Christian in Moscow this year.
I love those studios in Moscow with it's lots of possibilities. Actually we started this session in an environmental situation on the other side of the studio, but due to Christians preferations we decided to switch to that clean look.
To my tase a good decision, because it fits to Kristina very well.

...are usually not my cup of tea :)
But in this particular shoot or rather particular studio I didn't have much other chance. Actually I rented it for the shoot with Viktoria Sokolova because of a very nice bathtub in front of this great artwork on the wall.
Only in the studio I realized, that the bathtub was loose and that there was no water pipe connected. And as you know, if I try to shoot scenic pictures, I like to keep the scene authentic.
Oh well, so we removed t...

I'd like to show you the set of beautiful Christiaane today, because I'm currently writing the next tutorial on how to shoot sets for magazines.
I shot this set already a while ago, and event though, I might became stronger in terms of composition meanwhile, the rules of how to shoot a set didn't change for me. They are actually easier as you might think.
But before I will publish the tutorial I'd like to know: Who of you shoots or tries to shoot complete editorials and what's i...

I love to work with Mirrors once in a while, because it adds a new dimension to the pictures.
Unfortunately it's not as easy as some might think and my first attemps didn't work at all. Today I'd say, that I know how to use mirrors and glasses to make pictures more interesting.
So I'm working on a tutorial for you guys which will be online by Wednesday. In the meantime, please enjoy beautiful Katti looking at herself in the mirror :)

Last week I was back in Tarifa/Marbella to do some tests with beautiful Alessandra Sironi from Venezuela. She will be one of our event models in Tarifa next year. At the same time I scouted our shooting event location for Tarifa 2020 and we had the chance to do a little testshoot there as well.
Both, model and location were really amazing. The only problem I had was, that there were way to much possibilities for such a short shoot. So I tried to focus on shooting some promotion pictur...

Enjoy!

Just finished - A new set from beautiful Giulia Biagioli.
I photographed this set as a testshoot with Giulia. My friend Gioacchino Dell Erba visited me and we photographed both on this day. For all of you who are interested: Giacchi published his set at C-Heads :)
On this day I worked with two cameras: My old D810 and the new Z7. On the D810 I used the Tamron 85mm F1.8 and on the Z7 the original 50mm F1.8. In terms of monochrome style, these two cameras match very well.

Well, here's the first set from our trip to Moscow this month.
I'm very happy that we could arrange a shoot with beautiful Katti Colour during her short stay in Moscow. I'm following this model already for two years and I'm quite happy we could make it this time.
We rented one of Cross studios for this session. As it was a quite dark place we could use only half of the studio and in fact, this set was photographed in only a quarter of it.
I used my old D810 this year i...

Hey everyone, I'm back from Moscow. Sorry that I didn't post anything the last 2,5 weeks, but our trip to Moscow was really exhausting. We hosted two photo events, 3 individual coachings and I did plenty of testshoots to scout new models for my workshops and photo events.
So I'd like to say thank you for all of you who stay and would like to announce two things.

Hey guys, how are you.
Since I started my Patreon blog I wanted to post full picture sets. Unfortunately Patreon didn't offer a good solution to display more than one picture in a bigger size.
Until now. From today on it's possible to display galleries which gives me the chance to show my complete sets to you. Right now, these sets will be available in both tiers: Follow me and This is how I do it.
So let's start with my latest set of beau...

Do you think it's ok to mix color and b/w pictures in a set? I believe it's ok as long as you can clearly see, that the overall look is similar.
The problem is, that not many pictures look same good in color and b/w. Usually I make the decision already during the shoot and set the camera to color or b/w to have a clear view on how the pictures might look like.
This set of beautiful Veronica was different. I like colors and b/w in the same way. That's why I decided to mix this li...

A friend of mine uses the slogan: "Don't capture moments, create them". And even though our shooting workflows are completely different, I agree with him, just in my own way.
I'm not a photographer who claims to shoot stories, but I like to create/capture sensual moments. First of all I ask the models to keep their posing natural and if she's drifting into typical overposing I remind her. If she's in a natural mood I try to bring her into a posing flow, which I follow with all my atten...

Shooting on the dark side is a great opportunity to make your pictures moody and work with the scenery. But also it's quite difficult to direct the model and get your contrast right.

I think I wanted to shoot with Anna Orlova for at least 2 years before we finally had the chance to get together in Saint Petersburg which is Annas home town when she's not on travels. It was really a cool shoot with some great memories. We really got along right away :)
For all the patrons in the coaching channel "This is how I do it", don't forget about this month picture challenge on "Sensual Nude - Lying poses". Pictures have to be uploaded by 15th of April.
