Latest Autumn 2023 Midi Chords Pack

Good news!

Here is the latest update, with 20 new chord progressions, so that we now have 140 chord progressions per key! The new chord progressions include one from Venus Theory, Marcelo, and the CM exclusive ones. More modal, borrowed, and diminished chords are used in progressions. I used a modified Python Mingus library to have more chord types and fix bad-sounding 9th chords.

You, my Patreons, can download it now before its public release 😁

More than 8800 MIDI files with chords and progressions for any music style.

The 2nd smaller ZIP contains only the chord progressions, which is more convenient if you want to use them on an AKAI MPC or on Grooveboxes like the Roland MC-707, MV-1 or MC-101.

Finally, all 50 SR16 drumsets are sampled! 😊

The Alesis SR16 is a classic drum machine that has been used by many musicians and producers in the industry. It's the perfect drum machine for anyone who wants to infuse a little 90s nostalgia into their mix.

However, do not be deceived by their labels, as the 'Country 3' kits, for instance, offer unexpected sounds that may surprise you! Look for old posts tagged with sr16 for some sound demos.

This drum machine, a beloved classic from the 90s, has been meticulously sampled, featuring 4 distinct velocity layers. The particular unit I possess dates back to 1996 and represents the authentic vintage version with 16-bit resolution, setting it apart from the more recent models that boast 24-bit capabilities.

You'll need an SFZ sample reader or Ableton Live 10 or 11 to start using them (.adg Sampler and Simpler formats). Of course, you can also use the WAV samples without Live with any DAW or MPC/Groovebox.

The Alesis SR16 is a classic drum machine that has been used by many musicians and producers in the industry. It's the perfect drum machine for anyone who wants to infuse a little 90s nostalgia into their mix.

The SR16 multisampling of the drum sets is going on, and you'll find below 9 drum sets: Rock 3/4,  Country 3, CountryRock, Rockabilly, Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Dixie, Polka.

However, do not be deceived by their labels, as the 'Country 3' kits, for instance, offer unexpected sounds that may surprise you!

This drum machine, a beloved classic from the 90s, has been meticulously sampled, featuring 4 distinct velocity layers. The particular unit I possess dates back to 1996 and represents the authentic vintage version with 16-bit resolution, setting it apart from the more recent models that boast 24-bit capabilities.

You'll need an SFZ sample reader or Ableton Live 10 or 11 to start using them (.adg Sampler and Simpler formats). Of course, you can also use the WAV samples without Live with any DAW or MPC/Groovebox.

New PRO-1 Analog Sounds: Right Bass

Hello there!

Great news – you now have exclusive access to two fresh Analog multi-sampled bass sounds, meticulously crafted using my Behringer PRO-1 synthesizer. 🙌✨👌

These sounds are fully compatible with Live 10 and 11 in all their variations, and they seamlessly integrate into your preferred DAW, thanks to the inclusion of SFZ format presets. To make the most of the SFZ samples, I recommend utilizing SFizz, as shown in the image above. BTW did you know that Bitwig natively supports SFZ?

Allow me to introduce the "Right Bass," classic analog bass sounds derived from the superb "Right Place" sound I developed several months ago on my PRO-1:

⭐PRO1-21a-rightbass: Pure classic bass, free from effects. 

⭐PRO1-21b-rightbass: Same sound, enriched with an analog chorus effect.

New Wavestate samples: Endless cinematic lead/pad

One month ago, I gave you access to the Wavestate preset used in my Live, Cinematic Dark Synth with the Roland Verselab MV-1 and the Korg WAVESTATE. 

Since then I've been working on a technique that allows me to multi-sample any hardware synthesizer, with multiple velocity layers, in order to offer you new samples in SFZ format, Ableton Live Sampler and Simpler, as it was the case with the PRO-1 samples. 

And here are the first samples of Wavestate, the first of a long collection of multi-sampled sounds: 🕺🙌

• Wavestate 01 endless leadpad. 1 Instrument:
• A complex instrument with 3 layers, which can be used as a pad or as a lead. 2 layers for a slightly aggressive rhythmic pad thanks to a Waveshaper, and 1 layer for an aerial piano, all complemented by a long reverb.

Like in previous packs, the instruments are compatible with all flavors of Live 10 and 11, and also with your favorite DAW thanks to the SFZ format presets. Yes, you can play them even with Ableton Live 11 Lite!

New PRO-1 Analog sound: Fury lead

Hi there!

Good news, you just got access to 4 new Analog multi-sampled sounds cooked with my Behringer PRO-1. 🙌✨👌

The sounds are currently compatible with all flavors of Live 10 and 11, and also with your favorite DAW thanks to the SFZ format presets included. For playing the SFZ samples, I recommend SFizz, which you can see in the photo above. 

The Fury Lead, is an aggressive saturated lead sound made with analog frequency modulation of the two PRO-1 oscillators in square + saw mode. A plate reverb was added. The c/d variants of the sound also use analog FM but with different ratios resulting in higher harmonics.

 ⭐PRO1-42a-furylead: open filter and plate reverb, with looping sample

 ⭐PRO1-42b-furylead: half-closed filter and light plate reverb

 ⭐PRO1-42c-furylead: open filter, more aggressive and metallic

 ⭐PRO1-42d-furylead: half-closed filter,  more aggressive and metallic

Dear Patrons,

As you've seen with my analog sound packs, I love to spend hours in front of synthesizers and explore the sounds they are capable of producing. Turning the knobs, testing new modulations, crazy filter settings, trying new combinations, new patchings to get extraordinary sounds, or simply reproducing sounds I've heard.

With this in mind, I added a new tier on my Patreon: the "Prophet-10" tier!

In this new tier, you will have the possibility to ask me, once a month, to re-create for you a sound you have heard.

How does it work concretely?

• Once a month, during your Prophet-10 subscription, you will receive an email, asking you if you want to receive your "sound of the month".
• Reply to this email, with a description like: "I would like the synth sound of track X of the artist Y, that we hear at 2:15". 
• I answer you if it's possible and which synths I can use for this
• After a few days, you will receive your sound in the form of a patch with the synth that I have chosen.

Among the synths I will use to create your sound there will be:

• Korg Minilogue XD, Korg Wavestate
• Arturia Minifreak, Arturia Pigments (VST)
• DX7, Dexed (free software version of DX7), Korg Volca FM (with DX7 compatible firmware)
• Roland Zen Core with patch export for MC-101, 707 or Verselab MV-1
• Ableton Live instruments suite: Wavetable, Operator, Analog
• Surge XT (free and open source hybrid synth)

So no need for an expensive synth, with Dexed and Surge XT, we already have a lot of sound possibilities.😊

Of course the synth I will choose will depend on the sound you want. It is for example almost impossible to make additive synthesis with a Minilogue or a Wavestate.

Once the sound is finished you will receive the patch by email. It will be your exclusive property for six months. After this period I reserve the right to publish it in a sound pack on Patreon.

The SR16 multisampling of the drum sets is going on, and you'll find below 25 drum sets: Rock 1/2/3/4/5/6/7, HardRock 1/2/3, RnB 1/2/3, Funk 1/2, Blues 1/2, Rap 1/2/3, Techno 1/2/3, Reggae 1/2. 

But don't be fooled by their names, you'll be surprised by the sounds you can get in the 'HardRock' kits for example! In fact, the least interesting kits are probably in the Techno series. 😊

New PRO-1 Analog sounds: Reese bass

You just got access to my famous Reese bass sound crafted on the Behringer PRO-1! 😁

I recorded 4 variations of the Reese bass:

• PRO1-20a-reese: Reese bass with medium detuning, closed filter and light sub-bass
• PRO1-20b-reese: Reese bass with medium detuning, open filter and light sub-bass
• PRO1-20c-reese: Reese bass with less detuning, closed filter and more sub-bass
• PRO1-20d-reese: Reese bass with less detuning, open filter and more sub-bass

As always the instruments are available in Ableton Simpler and Sampler formats, and in SFZ format for all DAWs.

If you'd like different versions of these sound packs, for a groovebox, for example, don't hesitate to tell me below.

PRO-1 Analog Kicks

You just got access to my unique "handcrafted" Analog Kicks made from my Behringer PRO-1! 😁

It's a collection of 16 kicks sampled from the PRO-1 without any processing. The sounds are currently compatible with all flavors of Live 10 and 11, and also with your favorite DAW, Groovebox or MPC thanks to WAV samples included.

The 16 kicks are organized into 3 main families:

• Kicks 1-5: Classic analog kicks
• Kicks 6-10: Smoother analog kicks, more like 808s
• Kicks 11-16: Longer and more extreme analog kicks

And two presets for Ableton will allow you to easily use the samples:

• Kick PRO-1.adg: Ableton Live drum rack with 16 kicks
• Kick PRO-1 Rack.adg: Ableton Live drum rack with 16 kicks with a shaper to add even more character.

Isarithms - 3 new Analog PRO-1 sounds

Good news, you just got access to 3 new Analog Pad multi-sampled sounds cooked with my Behringer PRO-1. 🙌✨👌

These sounds were used for my last Youtube video Isarithms (part 1) for the Arp and the Solo. They were made with two oscillators synched with all PRO-1 waveforms blended, and a slow LFO which modulates the filter and pulse width.

⭐ PRO1-41a-isarithms: sound with a subosc and a long plate effect

⭐ PRO1-41b-isarithms: sound without a subosc, and with a long plate effect

⭐ PRO1-41dry-isarithms: sound with a subosc but without any effect

The sounds are currently compatible with all flavors of Live 10 and 11, and also with your favorite DAW thanks to the SFZ format presets included.

The SR16 multisampling of the drum sets is going on, and you'll find below 15 drum sets: Rock 1/2/3/4/5/6/7, HardRock 1/2/3, RnB 1/2 and Rap 1/2/3. But don't be fooled by their names, you'll be surprised by the sounds you can get in the 'HardRock' kits for example!

I started to multisample the SR16 drum sets for my Silver Patrons, but today you'll find below 2 Free drumsets:

• Rock 3 (Drumset 02)
• Rock 4 (Drumset 03)

You'll need Ableton Live 10 or 11 to start using them (.adg sampler and simpler formats) or an SFZ player. Of course, you can also use the WAV samples files with any software or hardware.

Free Ableton Handpan (+sfz +Roland Grooveboxes)

Updated: added sound file for Roland MC-101/707 and MV-1

I was looking for Hang drum sounds and I found great samples from the Freepats project!

They offer a free Hang in D minor under the CC license, but the layout didn't quite fit.

So for Ableton Live users, I prepared a version in the form of Drum Rack. I chose a loosely circular layout to facilitate playing the Hang on 4x4 drum pads. And if you don't like the position of the Ding or the Gu, you can simply move it to another pad with a drag and drop.

The ZIP contains:

• The original SFZ with randomization of the samples
• A Live Drum Rack with randomization of the samples based on an LFO where you can tune the speed: HangDmin-multi.adg
• A Live Drum Rack with samples mapped to note velocity for a different feeling: HangDmin-velocity.adg

To install the Racks in Ableton (10.x/11.x) simply unzip the file under 'Presets' in your User Library.

For Roland groove boxes, download Hang.mvc, copy the file to 'clips/drum' on your SD-Card, and import the clip in your MC-101/707/MV-1 project.

This 90s Classic Drum Machine has been carefully sampled using 4 velocity layers. My unit was built in 1996, and is the original 16 bits vintage version, unlike newer ones which are 24 bits.

I started to multisample the SR16 drum sets, and you'll find below my first 9 drum sets: Rock 1/2, RnB 1/2 and Rap 1/2/3. You'll need Ableton Live 10 or 11 to start using them (.adg sampler and simpler formats) or a SFZ reader. Of course, you can also use the WAV samples without Live.

Glasspads: Two new analog Pro-1 Pads

Hi there!

Good news, you just got access to 2 new Analog Pad multi-sampled sounds cooked with my Behringer PRO-1. 🙌✨👌

These pads have something mineral, maybe quartz-like sounds. Every day I'm amazed by the sounds you can get with a simple analog synth like the Pro-1! 😁

 ⭐ PRO1-63a-glasspad: processed with a Chorus-Delay-Reverb and a rhythmic analog filtering added. 

 ⭐ PRO1-63b-glasspad: same sound with more noise and an open filter.

The sounds are currently compatible with all flavors of Live 10 and 11, and also with your favorite DAW thanks to the SFZ format presets included.
