For more than a few reasons, this girl is quite a piece of work! Though, primarily, it's because she takes a long time to draw. >_> I tried to do a more dynamic pose with this one while still sticking with the Mayternity theme, luckily one of Noel's moves is aptly named for such a combo!
And, speaking of Mayternity, I know the preggo bellies have been lacking around these parts, I do have a few more ideas planned and I'll really try to get them doodled up...

I've been toiling away at the Riven comic all this week and I decided to take a break. How better to take a break from drawing than by drawing? :P
I do plan to contribute more to the whole Mayternity thing (draw pregnant ladies during May), but most of that will have to wait until later in the month. Hopefully, I can whip up a few more sketches before then but, in the mean time, have a preggo Jyn Erso doodle in celebration of May 4th (Star Wars day)! :D

This originally started as a shading test, I was going to make line art of a base body and try shading it in multiple ways without color. Maybe I'm trying to incorporate too many styles for what I do, but I feel that line art should look good enough on its own, without having to rely on colors.

Personally, I would consider most of my art to be pretty tame or "average" when it comes to the types of poses and scenarios that I draw. Most of my pics are just "here's an expanded girl standing or sitting, not really 'doing' anything". A lot of that has due to my lack of experience and needing to build up solid anatomy knowledge, but I think I'm finally getting to a point where I can do more interesting stuff.
