Thanks to Luis, this exact pose and exposure was suggested for the 2nd panel of our latest page. He also came with sexy ideas for the underwear gear, and then lovely wrestling gear. This is hardly SFW, even with it, haha!

I reworked closely the face, with such perspective, I usually deform it at some point. The rest of the pose was going strong & I went first for shadows, blending the thick graphite digital lines. Then I tried colors with a way to mix the layers so the original black lines disapear & blend with the colors.
Much experimenting here, going the right way, hehe!

The process shows I had black balloons, as I usually go with black & white artworks, but I went back to white with the colors, more like comics, like Superman ones.

I went again for the new Superman & his new actor David Corenswet, showing this time the back side. In the process I wanted to draw the dick seen partially, but finally only wanted to focus on the bump & the colors.
I ain't sure any Superman before sported SUCH slutty waist, though. ^^

What a challenge this was in such perspective & upside down! Much more harder to get than I thought, extreme view of the head is always the worst for me.

What a lovely suit to draw, as I'm a big fan of high contrasts, the face & the pose matching perfectly what I was going for!
On a technical level I had to rework parts on Photoshop, the Ipad Pro screen is so darker & contrasted I missed some whitey glitches in the black, & also the eyes were lacking a bit more detailed highlights & design.

I'm such a sucker for crazy perspective! I guess it comes from the fear of drawing such complex poses before, like I also didn't like to draw feet. Now it all comes pretty great, I always fear for the head now, but I manage to see, and correct, some problems, as is can be witnessed in this process.

This illustration wasn’t meant to be so experimental with colors & rendering! I was going for a classic day time scene, with dialogues between them, that’s why they seem to talk. Then I wanted a sunset, something different, and there we are.
See also the line art @ original sketch. This one is very rough, I wanted to go quick with this stage as I knew so much time would be spent on the colors, and boy, I was right! XD

I built this one up with very light sticks to get the vibe, it’s a good way to process, but I usually go back quickly to detailing too soon the anatomy. Love this one, the lil accessories go so well on him.
