As promised, now that 30 subscribers are reached and I have a stable patreon income to have the baseline price for printing and shipping fees for those who get it by post, I can now afford to send PDFs too!
Issues 1-3 are at...

Want TangoPunk, but don't care about physical copies? A cheaper PDF-only tier is now available as we've hit 30 subscribers!
Everyone on current tiers will still get the PDF tier benefit too, so right now you'll get both. Only change if you no longer want to receive issues by post.

Here's hoping everyone's settling into the new year!
As mentioned before, I'll be doing two things in January as Issue 4 doesn't hit until February:
- A free randomly chosen copy for anyone you think might be interested in checking it out.
- For anyone whose Issue 3 arrived damaged (or not at all), a reprint of Issue 3 with a firmer cover. EDIT: This firmer cover reprint will also be provided free for anyone on a back issue tier.
Therefore, I'll nee...

Here's a rundown of what will be happening this month!
An issue for a friend!
In a few days, I'll send a message to everyone asking if they'd like a copy of TangoPunk to be sent to someone who might like a sample issue. As these will be coming from overstock, you won't be able to pick which issue, but if you think someone would be interested in a random free copy of the zine to check out then everyone will be satisfied!

Despite sending the issues around December 3rd so they'd arrive in time for Christmas, I'm hearing tales that many people are only just receiving them, and at least one person's issue has not turned up yet. Christmas international post must be extra delayed.
Therefore, here's a PDF in the meantime! If you still haven't received your issue next month, let me know, and I can mail another one to you.
Have a great Christmas!
(Oh, and a sneaky reminder, I onl...

TangoPunk now has a jingle courtesy of geno7 and dreamkittu!
This video is admittedly a little rushed as I learn a new video editor in one night after work, but it's a good starting template for me as I try to get the word out about the zine. Games shown in the video will feature in Issue 4, but as it's not even Christmas yet and most people have only just got Issue 3, so that's a while away!
As always, any help sharing awareness of the zine is appreciated. In January ...

That's all I wanted to say really. Oh, but one other thing! If you were supposed to receive Issue 2, and it has been over two weeks but nothing has arrived, please let me know.
It seems that for every bulk set of issues I send out to everyone, one copy mysteriously goes missing, one a month. It's bizarre, but I guess that's what happens with physical post, sometimes things just get lost.
Anyway, if that has happened to you, I'll send you a replacement (for free of course) and a P...

Look at that cover! It was given to me as a gift from Cam, a wonderful artist and true friend who I have loved the works of for many years. Normally I'd just do my own fair-use screenshot lady covers, but art of that quality is just too good, especially as a gift!
It's so beautiful that separate textless card prints will be sent alongside every copy of Issue 3 until I run out.
Want to see more of Cam's work?

There's going to be some timing changes in December. You're all getting Issue 3 early! However, that means it'll feel even longer waiting for Issue 4, so that's an important thing to make people aware of.
With the six week schedule, it would normally be:
Issue 3: Ships December 18th
Issue 4: Ships February 3rd
However, this December, I want to make sure everyone gets Issue 3 before Christmas, as otherwise all kind of problems will occur with the Christma...

These minute-long patreon video posts sure are worthless! In the words of a nerd, what was I thinking?
New plan! I'll wait until I have lots of footage, splice it all together, maybe get a voiceover for it to highlight all the important parts, and make into a Big Thing.
For now, I'll go back to working on the zine normally as I was before, and then once a big video is ready, I'll push it on everyone!

I'm always impressed at pachinko machines getting their own CG movies. Here's the intro to Fever Zeus, from Sankyo Fever 1 on the PS1!

Going forwards, I'm going to start posting regular supplementary videos/galleries/etc through Patreon to complement games covered in the zine with pretty pictures.
Here's the FMV Intro to FEVER Karate OH!, a pachinko game included in Sankyo Fever for the Playstation!

"The Japanese title of Typhoon Gal seems to be "Onna Sanshirou", Onna meaning girl, and Sanshirou being a character's last name comprised of the kanjis for "three" "four" and "son".
It appears to be a play on the name of a famous Japanese novel and Akira Kurosawa's first film "Sugata Sanshirou", which is also the name of the main character and was called "Judo Story" in the west.
Segata Sanshirou, the mascot for the Sega Saturn in Japan, was himself a p...

Sometimes I research things that end up being not that interesting, but I want to write it down somewhere.
Here's one of those things for the arcade game Typhoon Gal!
This page won't make it into TangoPunk, hence the name, unless I somehow accumulate an entire zine's worth of useless content over time for some kind of reject issue, which is very tempting.

I almost forgot to post this given most people are in the Discord already and were already aware!
(For those who aren't, check your Patreon user settings, there's an app section where you can link to Discord to automatically get the appropriate roles!)
Issue 2 has now been shipped, alongside Issue 1 for those on a back issue tier.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!

It's been one month since the launch of TangoPunk! How're you all doing?
Depending on the kind of person you are, it's either been forever or relatively fast since you got your copy of Issue 1. If you haven't received it by now, please message me- I won't know unless you tell me!
I've updated the Patreon descriptions to say 'Every 6 weeks' instead of that wishy-washy '6-8 weeks' I originally had, it's clear that I have enough time to make and ship them every six weeks now....

If TangoPunk reaches 30 people buying the physical zine, I'll know I've got the professional printing and shipping costs covered, and can start offering PDFs and a cheaper PDF-only tier.
The PDFs will be released after a two week delay after each issue to prevent people getting spoiled before the physical copy arrives.
The goal bar can be viewed on the Patreon page, https://www.patreon.com/TangoPunk!...

I've added emotes to the TangoPunk Discord channel, all based on games and pages that were in Issue 1.
Discord is not very nice and doesn't allow cross-channel emotes, and has no options to unlock them via Patreon for other servers (unlike what happens with Twitch), so if you're lucky enough to have Discord Nitro, these emotes are now available for use everywhere!
Otherwise, they're stuck in the TangoPunk Discord channel. Ah well.
If you haven't done so al...

I wanted to launch the Patreon this morning just in case it took a few days for Patreon (the website) to verify the content and made sure it was within their guidelines, but it's all good!
