Hec and Mel(elleybug oc) both have the same father(adram) and are a chaotic pair together. Especially in the infernal realm...cause well they are adrams blood and will pull the 'do you know who my dad is?' card

Lil Lore:

Even through a blizzard, it didn't take long for Marionette's assistant to track them down. 
Out of instinct, or tapping into some link to her witchblood, zero thought of safety—a place for them to escape to. It was unstable; a portal opened, and she didn't know where it led, but she hoped it took them away from here. With what little strength she had left, Zero pushed them through the portal. 

Time to join the witch club...

When both subjects escaped, Marionette sent one of her advanced creations out to retrieve them, who also acted as her right-hand assistant. Unfortunately, the scientist had chipped both ace and zero, so tracking wouldn't be an issue. 
Marionette never displayed any emotion but saw this as a mild annoyance that a failed creation by her hand would be running around. But it could also be an opportunity to gather data.

At great risk to their lives, Ace had meticulously planned to get Zero out of the lab nearing the time marionette would dispose of her. She only had one chance to escape using the tunnels, and once they were outside, nobody knew what would happen. But anything was better than staying trapped there. 

The babus are getting out of there! Well ace is kinda having to drag hec of her who can barely use her legs.

Zero wasn't the only subject of marionettes; during her development, another girl, Ace, learned to communicate with her through telepathy. Nearing the end of Zero's growth, she was labelled a 'failed' project after the lastest tests were run and would be scheduled for disposal. The scientist was never wrong, but Ace acted fast and knew she had to somehow help her escape this place.

With blood samples from two powerful bloodlines, the witchqueen, Aradia, and a demon king, Adram, It was a recipe to create something destructive. How she managed to acquire both of their blood remains a mystery. But this gave birth to the creation of Hecate, who at the time was known as Zero.
