Weekly update time!

As mentioned in the earlier post, unfortunately I spent a good chunk of the week recovering from a migraine attack. Hence, the overall progress made this week has amounted to less than usual. My apologies but sincere thanks for your understanding.

In summary:

– Managed to outline 1 page for chapter 17 of the MMO series!

– Can now proceed to chapter 18 of the MMO series!

– Made more progress for the next animation!

– Did not practice anatomy and gestures.

先日の記事で述べたように、残念ながら今週は偏頭痛の発作から回復するためにかなりの時間を費やしました。そのため、今週の全体的な進捗はいつもより少なめになってしまいました。申し訳ありませんが、ご理解のほど、よろしくお願いいたします。

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

The outlines for chapter 17 of the MMO series is finally done! We’re finally at chapter 18 and ever so steadily heading towards the end of the outlining stage of production!

Chapter 18 has a total of 41 pages, so it’s a lot, but it’s the final stretch! So close!

MMOシリーズ第17章のアウトラインがついに完成! いよいよ18章に突入し、これまで順調にアウトライン制作の終盤に向かっています

18章の総ページ数は41ページと多いのですが、いよいよラストスパートです! あと少しです!

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I managed to get the faces for both characters and some parts of the hair movement done this week!

今週は、なんとか両キャラクターの顔と、髪の動きの一部を完成させることができました！

Though, there’s no rotoscoping for the hair as the original referenced video contains actors with hair that’s significantly shorter than the 2 characters I’m drawing. Here’s hoping I can animate a believable level of physics for both the hair and clothes.

It’s a lot of work, but it always amazes me how smooth it looks with each update. I guess that’s rotoscoping for you.

ただ、参考にしたオリジナルのビデオには、私が描いている2人のキャラクターよりもかなり短い髪の俳優が出演しているので、髪のロトスコープはありません。髪と服の両方について、信じられるレベルの物理をアニメートできることを期待しています。

大変な作業ですが、更新するたびに、その滑らかさに驚かされます。これがロトスコープなんだろうな。

とにかく、来週はもっとお見せしたいと思います！

Warm Ups + Studies | ウォームアップとスタディ:

Unfortunately I did not do any practices this week. I tried to practise a little these past couple of days, but it felt like I was doing a chore instead of actually practising with interest. With the time that was already spent to practice that little bit, I decided to scrap the practices and just deal with the fact that this week was just not a good week. Hence, there aren’t any practices this week.

今週は残念ながら練習をしませんでした。この2、3日、少し練習してみたが、実際に興味を持って練習するのではなく、雑用をしているような感じだった。そのわずかな練習に費やした時間を考えると、練習はやめて、今週はただ良い週ではなかったという事実に対処することにしました。したがって、今週の練習はありません。

Isn’t it ironic that just last week I was talking about coming to terms with slow progress, and then I get sick. hahaha

If you’ve been with RandoWis for a while, you’ll know that I could type a whole paragraph ranting about what happened, but I’m gonna refrain from doing so. Worry not as I am not angry, just a little worn out. We all get a slow week every now and then I guess. Thank you for patience and understanding, sincerely.
