We have decided to break Willowdale into three separate updates, concluding with the departure from Willowdale. This is due to the sheer size of the game we have been working on. One of the best parts of reImagining this game is recreating the assets. As most of you who have been with us since the beginning, the original character assets (except for Aelrue, which was Astrid-g3) were unavailable to us. There were other problems as well. This last week, we passed a bit of a milestone. There was a particularly difficult animation that we have been trying to get to look a certain way, and we kept hitting the wall in finding an adequate solution. The finish line inches closer, faithful followers. We are finishing the renders and scripts for scenes left and right.
We passed the 900 render mark yesterday. Now, in the grand scheme of things, that may not seem like a lot of renders for a new game. I wanted to give everyone an update on where we are at in terms of game assembly. While there are still a few frustrating bits of the dialog still to be written, coding is all but complete - the mechanical base of the game (the parts of the code that keep the game from collapsing under all of the awesome-ness) is hovering at approximately 90%.Likewise, the UI (User Interface) stands at 80%.
